Your POV

Uma was equally as excited to see Kai and Maya - well, as excited as one could be when one's boyfriend has gone loco - and once we told them what happened with Johnny, they filled us in on the Motunui news.

"So that's why I was never allowed to leave my island - because my mother and the rest of the elders were protecting us from the evils in Auradon. Once they heard of the Isle and what wicked things were being planned, they figured the only way to keep Motunui safe would be to hide it away from the mainland, covered in a protecting mist which held the secrets in as well." Maya explained with animation.

"But when Harry and I flew into Motunui, we somehow broke this mist, allowing the memories to flow back! At least, for those of us equipped to retrieve them." I was leaning on Harry's shoulder, exhausted. "And as time progresses more people are feeling the effects of this... and you say this is what led to Johnny's mood?"

"See, whoever spelled everyone did not want people to find out. So as a sort of defence mechanism were something to go wrong, the fractured spell leads to heightened moods, irritability, and sometimes a reluctance to face the facts." Kai was eating grapes, pausing every now and then to gulp. "In some people, especially older ones, this manifests in a more major way."

"Such as memory episodes and uncalled for violence." Harry sighed thinking about his father. "I'm all too familiar with the effects of that one."

"This likely explains the chaos my magic has been creating ever since too." I looked at Harry. "It's not my fault."

"It never was." He took my hand.

"That's all well and all, " Uma started, "but how do we wake everyone up for good, without any of these 'side effects'?"

"Could it honestly be anything else?" Maya gestured at me. "Magic."

"But which spell? And I certainly cannot cast one of this magnitude alone."

"'The one who must cast it will know, but he will need help.'" Maya recited. "Mom's words exactly."

"So it's a 'he'? Frankly, I'm relieved." I breathed out. "I'm all for helping, but if I was required to break a spell cast over all of Auradon and the Isle, then I would probably break first."

"Who is it?" Harry sat up eagerly.

"She didn't say."

"Why can they never come out with it?" He groaned.

"It would tamper with the process," Maya explained half-heartedly. "She would not say another word on the matter."

"Well, which boys do we know who possess magical abilities? There's Coy and..." I faltered.

"Literally only Coy." Harry shook his head.

"You guys really don't know any others?" Kai accused in disbelief. "How is that possible?"

"Well Kai, when it comes to having magical inclinations," I began, "There's Uma, me, Audrey, Mal, Fairy Godmother, and Lydia off the top of my head - but none of us are hes, are we?"

"Point made, the guys in Auradon suck." Kai teased.

I shot a look back at him. "And whose fault is that?"

"Kay, we get it." Harry came in between us. "Coy is our only hope as of right now, and we need to deal with this quickly. In terms of getting help... I say that everyone (y/n) listed leave for Mal and the Fairy Godmother should be included. Those two cannot be trusted as I see it."
