A very, very, fun chapter!
Your POV
"Everything alright?"
"Yeah, just fine. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have informed them of my arrival at all." I muttered. "Don't think I come from a place of crazies - no matter what you see when we enter Agrabah City, okay?"
"I already think you're crazy - this would just explain where it came from." Harry joked.
I glared back at him.
"Kidding. Don't worry, princess - whatever they do, I won't judge. How crazy can it be?"
"You really are clueless." Is all I could respond to that. Agrabah welcomes are not to be underestimated. Especially if it's for Agrabah's princess and her... pirate.
As the deserted desert became less deserted, I knew we were getting close to the main city. We're going to be seen by people - people who'll be watching for us. Not like in Auradon where I'm just another princess... over here, I am the princess.
Panicked, I looked at Harry. "How's my hair?"
"Um, fine. A little ruffled." He pointed to the back of my head. "And mine?" Right, his appearance matters just as much as mine.
"A little ruffled. Don't worry, I think I packed my comb." I turned and began to unzip the suitcase, careful to not let everything go tumbling down to the sand. "Here it is."
"You know how no one really cares about us in Auradon - people like Audrey or Chad always get the attention?"
"Yeah?" I absentmindedly combed through my hair, thankful for the half intact curls from yesterday.
"I'm guessing it's not going to be like that in Agrabah."
"You guess right." I handed him the comb and switched my focus to my face, pulling up my phone's front camera as a mirror.
"Because Agrabah only has one princess."
"Yup. Which means all eyes are on us."
"Hm."
"Come on Harry, I know some part of you is craving the attention - you like it." I winked.
"I can't argue with that - I do like it - mainly because I've never gotten that kind of attention. It'll be fun to be a prince for a while." He quickly bit on his lip in embarrassment, cheeks pinkening. "What I meant was-well-it'll be as if I'm a prince... not like you're the princess, and I'm that kind of—"
"Don't be silly - you are my prince, Harry. And while we're in Agrabah, you'll be treated like it."
At this, he was completely tongue-tied. "Seems like we're leaving the desert, heh." He craned his neck over the edge of the carpet to avoid my eyes. "Is this the marketplace?"
"There are many marketplaces that'll run on for miles - but yeah, this is one of them. It's pretty empty for this time of day, actually." I fear... please don't tell me Genie got the citizens on the outskirts in on something too!?
Harry propped up back by me. "How do I look? For real?"
"Perfect."
"Are you sure? You seem to have it together, but I don't think I look well enough."
"Nonsense. I just wish... we've dressed for the Summerlands - and you're perfect, seriously. But I could have worn something a bit more... Agrabah." I looked down. "I think this is too simple for what's waiting for us."
"I'm sure they'll understand."
"It'll be weird to look like an outsider in my land. At least, thankfully, the dress is blue." I straightened it out on my lap. "But I'll need an outfit change the moment I get to my room."
