Wait the tips of his hair actually look red in this gif... kind of...

Your POV

Harry was by himself when I found him, idly waiting outside the med assistance room.

"Not injured, are you?" I caught his attention as I locked the door behind me, leaving the keys for whoever had the next shift.

"Like I could get injured facing those beginners." He huffed.

"Hey, don't get too cocky - it's only day one."

"I know." He looked around as we began the loop around the school, looking for our friends. "What took so long?"

"Steve knows."

"What?"

"Steve - he knows."

"How is that possible?"

"I'll fill you in later. But the point is, we aren't the only ones."

"Does this change... I mean, will he...?"

"No, he won't. To my surprise, he was actually... kind of refreshing to speak with."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I don't know. Something about his perspective, being born and raised in Auradon, was relatable. He understood some things that are harder to say to you, or Uma, or even Johnny. Forget Maya and Kai, who are completely out of it. It's weird to say but my mind feels better after talking to him." I hesitated in saying that, not knowing how Harry could receive it.

"That's good, (y/n)."

"Hm?"

"That you felt more at peace after talking to him. It's true, there are some things that we can't necessarily help each other with. I wish I could be everything you needed, but I mean, that's never a practical thing. My main worry was how you might be feeling, so hearing that Steve could relive some of it is such a relief to me."

"You truly think that?"

'Yeah, well what are friends for otherwise? No one says you can't get along with the Auradon kids and the VKs."

"Thanks for saying that. I was slightly-"

"Never be, princess. It's not like that with us - I'd never care who you find comfort from, as long as you don't isolate yourself, kay?"

"Same to you, Harry."

"Come on, we both know I'm the expressive one here - if I had something pressing or depressing, the whole city'd probably find out."

"That sounds a little hyperbolic, Harry, considering your obsession with people having the perfect image of you."

"Perhaps the perfection is not an image, princess."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah right- oh, there they are."

Ruby, Johnny, and Uma had found a section of benches under the main staircase to sit, mostly hidden from passersby.

I didn't want it to be awkward, but inevitably, this haphazard reunion where it seemed like everyone was finally in on the secret was in an excess of discomfort.

Curiously, it was Ruby who chose to speak first. "Thank you, (y/n), for helping return my brother to his family."

What does one say to that?

I shrugged with a smile. "I mean, it had to be done." Annoyed with my lame response, I shifted my gaze to Johnny. "So, everyone knows?"

"Everyone knows." He nodded, referring to the small group we had here.
