Chapter 75 - The Lost Quirk

(Author's Note: Hello there, everyone! Just a quick chapter I felt like adding today. It doesn't add too much to the story overall, it's mainly just to reveal some small details. I don't feel like leaving you guys hanging for like, three weeks, for a weak chapter, that way when we get back to action we get back to action straight away, y'know what I mean? So there you go. "D-Dad?!"

"Kaito... We need to talk." His father said in a serious tone. "Ok, maybe that was too ominous, ha ha!" He closed his eyes, rubbing the back of his head, with a more relaxed demeanor. "How are you doing?"

"Y-Your father?" Kyoka blinked in surprise. "Um-... nice to meet you, sir."

"Hello there!" He greets. "It's nice to meet you too... You kinda ran ahead earlier so I didn't get your name?"

"Kyoka Jiro." She replied, smiling.

"Nice to meet you, Jiro." He had a sly smile. "Are you by any chance... Kaito's girlfriend?" He smugly asked.

"Uuh!" Kyoka blushed, covering her face again.

"Of course she is!" Kaito enthusiastically exclaimed. "Actually, we just confessed our love for each other, right babe?"

"At least I did..." She replied.

"What do you mean by that? I was the one who went ahead and kissed you! If it were for you, you'd just keep acting cute and shy all the time." Kaito crossed his arms, then smugly looked at her.

"T-That's not true!"

"Want me to kiss you again to prove it?"

"Not in front of your dad!"

Bakugo and Kirishima seemed kinda lost in the middle of that. Kirishima shook his head, walking away.

"C'mon man, let's give'em some family time alone." He said, passing by Bakugo. "Jiro and Atsuhito are practically married at this point."

"Marriage?!" She blushed harder.

"See you guys soon!" Kirishima waved.

"Right..."

"Your friends are... Interesting." Father observed. "Bakugo seems a little different from when you two were little."

"Yeah. He changed a little bit. But what about you? What are you doing here, old man?"

"Old man? I'm not that old!" He retorted. "I'm here to see my wife and son! How you two were doing. The cities are plunging into chaos, it's all over the news!"

Kaito was surprised to hear that.

"What? What's happening?"

"Things are looking pretty bad, Kaito." Jiro adds. "When Shigaraki escaped, he broke a bunch of villains free. Including some of the ones locked away in the Tartarus."

"Tartarus? But that's where... All For One!"

"All For One? You kids know about him?"

"Yeah, since the Camino Incident." Kaito clarified. "That's terrible. How's mom doing?"

"I swung by the hospital before getting here. She's busy. The hospital is practically full, every minute someone injured appears. The situation we're in right now is unprecedented. She told me to come check on you since she wasn't able to."
