Chapter 69 - Have a NICE Year!

(Author's Note: Hello there, everyone! Welcome to The Steam Powered Hero chapter 69! Can we get a NICE line going down in the comments?

This will be a short chapter for a couple of reasons, first one is that we're already entering the War Arc, which is a mess a ton of things happening all over the place, I could easily lose myself in the middle of the events, and that's the last thing we want to see happening, right? Second one, is that we're dangerously close to the newest manga chapters. As you might have noticed, I skip quite a few chapters because they cover events happening in other places of the main storyline, and this story is about the Steam Powered Hero, it's a side story, it was the same reason I skipped the whole My Villain Academia arc, it wouldn't make any sense at all to cover that. I hope you guys understand, I'll take some time off to let the manga develop, I'll maybe even let the War Arc end before I continue. Sorry if I'm letting you guys down by stopping right here where things get a LOT spicier, I know, I know, I wanted to get on writing but I also want to make sure everything I'm planning works.

"The previous users and their quirks?"

"I've compiled all the details I could find about the previous users. Given the era back then and the multifaced nature of One For All, there's nothing much about them in the records." All Might explained. "If they realized they harboured quirks, they might've left something behind."

"Get on with it and stop wasting my precious time!"

"Yeah, I'm sure you're super busy, Explosion Boy..."

"About Black Whip..." Midoriya chimed in. "I can only maintain it for a second, so I'm not on Sero or Mr. Aizawa's level, but... it's already a pretty powerful support quirk."

"Based on personal experience, it is a powerful tool..." Kaito remembered all the opponents he's faced in the past with quirks like Black Whip. Devil Tattoo being by far the most powerful. "If you manage to control it you might become a problem for us. Right, Bakugo?"

"Speak for yourself, Flyboy."

"Any more contact with the previous users?" All Might questioned.

"No..."

Bakugo grabbed the notebook, reading about the previous users and their quirks.

"So the fifth user was... Lariat?"

Kaito grabbed the notes from his hands, much for his annoyance.

"Real name: Daigoro Banjo. Quirk: Black Whip. Because of the strings of energy he could shoot, he was well suited for binding enemies and maneuver in midair."

Bakugo snatched the notes back.

"This guy and the others didn't really have strong quirks. Never heard of these nobodies."
