Chapter 60 - His Start

(Author's Note: THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT! First of all, sorry for taking so long to post this chapter! I wish I had a better excuse, but the truth is that I was feeling kind of lazy and at the same time wasn't feeling inspired to write something great, and as you know this is the season 4 finale, I couldn't just write something un-epic, you know what I mean? So yeah, here we are. I'd like to thank everyone who's been with me in this journey, you guys are awesome! Now, this one is important. I assume at least some of you guys are anime only, correct? So I gotta ask first if you guys are ok with me going into manga territory, or if I wait for the season 5? I really don't want to spoil anyone, so yeah, let me know what you guys think. The next day arrived, and Kaito found himself again at Kyushu, at Hawks Hero Agency. Of course the winged pro was waiting at the rooftop, so there they had a chat.

"So, you wanted to talk with me about something important?" Kaito asked.

"Yes. About your future." Hawks replied looking at the horizon.

"My future?"

"I think you're full of potential, Atsuhito. I believe you can become a great hero someday, a symbol, if you will. Frankly, this type of thing wasn't really made for me." Hawks rubbed his nape, grinning. "So I'm probably not the best role model for you at the moment."

"Nonsense, you taught me a few things, helped open my eyes."

"I'm glad you learned something. Well, I'll go straight to the point." Hawks continued. "I'm currently working on a secret investigation, regarding the League Of Villains. More precisely, those Nomu things they use as soldiers."

"The Nomu? I thought the Police had taken custody of all of them in Kamino?"

"That's exactly what I'm investigating. We all thought with ol' All For One now locked up in the Tartarus, we wouldn't see any more of the monsters, but looks like we were wrong." Hawks thought about the matter for a second.

"So, what led you to investigate that?" Kaito questioned.

"There have been some rumors going around the streets, about sighting those monsters around the country. After the incident in Kamino, Hosu and the USJ, I don't think this is just some baseless gossip. So it's better to have a look into that before it goes out of control." Hawks explained.

"I see..."

"That's why I called you here." Hawks turned to look at the student. "Tokoyami already knows I'll stay away for a while, he decided to stay with my agency, he wants to work on his abilities, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Now you? I think it would be a waste of your time to stay here when you already mastered all I could teach you." Hawks grinned

"You think so?" Kaito shyly rubbed his nape. "Thanks! So, what do you have in mind?"

"I'm thinking about sending you for another Hero Agency for some temp work while I work on this investigation." Hawks continued. "There you could learn some new things to improve your arsenal, and your potential as a hero. What do you think?"
