After the final match is over, the preparations for the Awards Ceremony begins right away. All classes are called to attend in the event. Tokoyami and Atsuhito are the first ones to get ready to leave.
"Alright. Let's do this thing." Kaito spoke up, stretching. "See you guys down there."
As the class went for the event they found Iida, he looked stressed out. He explained he had to leave due to some family matters, something involving his brother, the pro hero Ingenium. He didn't give too much detail, just said it was urgent.
Tokoyami and Atsuhito arrived at the podium that was below the field, in some sort of elevator, type, deal, thingy? The scene was somewhat funny, as Bakugo was literally chained on the first place spot, on some sort of concrete block. Atsuhito couldn't help to burst out laughing. Todoroki looked quiet and thoughtful, almost sad in a way.
"Looks like they finally found a way to shut you up." Kaito remarked, still laughing.
"This is too much." Tokoyami commented.
Bakugo glared angrily, followed by muffled screams with even more anger.
The two got up on the third place spot, and the podium began to rise.
They were greeted with cheers and fireworks and explosions(?) and whatnot. Evidently, most if not all of their peers were either shocked or embarrassed seeing the champion literally in shackles and chains. Atsuhito just kek'd harder, but deep down, he understood Bakugo.
"Now! Let's break down the hardware!" Midnight spoke up, ready to announce the winners. "Of course, there's only one person worthy of distributing the awards."
A very familiar, heroic laugh was heard. The crowds instantly recognized and cheered.
"Citizens! I am here, with the medals!" "All Might the number one hero!"
They talked over each other.
"Ruined that didn't I?" Midnight recognized her mistake. "Now that you're here, All Might. Why don't you start the presentation." She handed the medals.
"Haha! Young Tokoyami! You showed great strength out there!" All Might puts the medal on Tokoyami.
"You humble me, sir."
"However." He hugs the birb. "You've more training to do if you're going to be able to fight different kinds of villains. You're not going to be able to rely on your quirk on every battle you face.
"Yes sir."
"Young Atsuhito! Once again, you've shown great promise." He puts the medal on Kaito.
"I have quite a few people to thank for that, including you, sir."
"You're quite a step up from the boy I met during the sludge villain attack." All might hugs him. "Keep up your great work and improvement of your quirk, and you're gonna be a great hero someday."
"I understand. Thank you, sir."
His armpits smell like hopes and dreams.
"Young Todoroki! Congratulations. I'm assuming there's a reason you didn't use your left side during the finals, though it cost you the match."
