As the raid team entered the scene, a bunch of randoms came out of the building to meet them, trying to block the path or slow down their advance, the yard quickly turned into a brawl.
"Leave this to us! You go inside!" Said one of the pro heroes.
"Hate to barge in like this, but we're in a hurry!" Said Fat Gum as he broke down the door.
The group makes their way deeper into the Hassaikai's stronghold, running down the hallway.
"Haven't seen any signs of suspicious activity yet."
"None of those guys were from the main force of the Shie Hassaikai." Observed Kaito.
"Is it possible that somebody leaked our plans for the raid?" Wondered Amajiki. "It must be the reason they all came pouring out like that."
"If there had been a leak, I think they would be fighting more cohesively." Said one of the police officers. "Groups like this are used to working together."
"There's nothing that matters more for these guys than their bond with their boss and their brothers." Aizawa spoke up. "Being part of the underworld only makes loyalty that much sacred for them. All these people and we haven't caught sight of the top brass yet. They're probably underground getting ready to flee." He theorized.
"How's that supposed to be loyalty?" Kirishima voiced his indignation. "Forcing their henchmen to fight for them while they flee? That's not manly at all!"
"Don't worry. We'll get them!" Said Kaito with conviction.
"Atsuhito." Aizawa called his attention. "Since we don't know the territory too well, we'll need you to use your quirk to scout the area."
"Understood."
Suddenly, Nighteye stopped the group in front of a potted flower.
"This is it. There's a device here that opens a hidden passage." Nighteye walked to the flower and started pressing the tiles. "You press down the floor boards at a specific order, and then..."
The wall opened up, revealing a secret passage.
"It's like a ninja hideout!" Exclaimed Bubble Girl.
"Thank goodness for your quirk, sir." Said Centipeder. "Steampunk, you're up."
"On it..." Kaito lets his steam flow into the secret passage.
"Heads up. We don't know what we might be facing in there." Said Nighteye.
Kaito detected movement in his steam cloud.
"3 people coming in!" He warned.
"Let's get the bastards!" One of the three gangsters yelled as they jumped the heroes.
"Bubble girl! You handle the third!" Centipeder skillfully managed to restrain two of the gangsters with his centipede arms.
Bubble Girl used one of her bubbles to blind the third one, and quickly restrained him.
"We'll make sure these guys don't follow. You go on ahead!"
"You heard her!" Nighteye led the group forward.
They ran into the secret passage following Nighteye's previous foresight. But something was wrong, the path forward was blocked by a wall.
"It looks like a dead end! What now?"
