Chapter 59 - Smiles

After the performance is over, and the cheers and applause echoes through the gymnasium, class A could barely contain their overwhelming happiness, all this time and effort they put into this project has paid off more than any of them could ever imagine. They smiled and waved to the cheering crowd, Kaito could see Eri in Mirio's arms with a beautiful, shinning smile, making the moment 10x better. He then turned to his class who was doing the same, smiling, hopping, waving, he noticed Jiro, she had teary eyes, so he gave her the infamous reassuring, sweet smile, followed by a thumbs up. Jiro ran his way, jumping in his arms, hugging the Steamguy. In that moment, even he couldn't contain his own tears of happiness too.

For a second she pulled back, looked into his eyes.

"We did it!" She said, overwhelmed by all the emotions, with tearful eyes.

"Yes, yes we did!" He replied pulling her back to another hug. "You did it, Rock Star."

Midoriya and Kaito were called by one of the teachers to have a little chat about their battle with Gentle. Round Dog scolded the two, with reason, for their actions, even All Might was there to voice his concern. After that, they were free to return to the class, who was now cleaning the ice from the special effects in the performance.

There, they found Mirio and Eri again.

"Hey, there they are!" Said Mirio, spotting the two. "Good work, you two!"

"That was crazy!" Eri hopped in, eyes gleaming with excitement. "At first when there was a loud noise I was scared! But then everyone was jumping with the dance..." she gestured and hopped as she told them. "... and there was a flash and then you both ran away a little bit. And then Steam started flying around like a bird!" Eri spreads her arm in a flying motion, running around Mirio who did the same, imitating her. "That's when it started to get cold and there was spinning lights, and a bunch of colors, and a bunch of people said Woah! And you know what I said? Woah too!" Her eyes gleamed even more. "It was so fun!"

As she explained how much fun she had, Midoriya's eyes filled with tears. Kaito patted Midoriya on the shoulder, understood that reaction, he had the same reaction earlier.

"We're glad you had such a good time, Eri."

That's when she smiled the sweetest smile ever- hnngh.. my heart.

Kaito stepped forward, kneeling down.

"Told you would see me flying around." He patted her head.

"You should be working!" Mineta dashed past them with a bucket of ice. "Slacking off now after being late? Here, take this ice!"

"Oooh, sorry!" Midoriya grabbed the bucket.

"Mine too, please!" Aoyama had another mountain of ice.

"Oh, right. I'll help you out with this ice!" Kaito rolled up his sleeves and got ready to help. "I'll see you guys in a bit!"

He ran outside where some of his classmates were getting rid of the ice in a nearby drain, type, deal, thingy.

"You did great, Bakugo!" Kirishima praised his performance.

"Of course I did!"

"Hey, Atsuhito!" He greeted his classmate with a high five. "That air show was awesome!"

"Thanks! You guys did great with the effects!" Kaito used his steam to melt the ice. "Aoyama as a human disco ball? That was genius!"

"I think we did a lot better than we expected." Ojiro joined them.

"Looks like your air show was a success." Jiro chimed in, carrying one of her guitars. "Good job." She smiled.

"Well, you know..." Kaito shyly rubbed his nape. "Your singing was the main show. That was fantastic!"
