Chapter 20 - And The Fights Go On!

The roar of the crowds is deafening, this turnabout of events wasn't really super flashy, but it was awesome nonetheless. Kaito smiled and waved to the crowds as he walked up to Shiozaki, he lended her a hand, helping her get on her feet.

"Sorry about that!" He grinned. "That was a great match, you're pretty strong!"

Shiozaki was surprised at first, then she sweetly smiled back. "Thank you!"

Kaito returned to his class and was recieved cheers from some of his classmates.

"That was awesome!" Kaminari jumped towards him. "That girl was a cutie, what did you talk with her?" He was curious.

"Yeah!" Mineta jumped in. "What did she say? She gave you her number or something? Talk with us, Atsuhito!"

Kaito looked out of the corner of his eye, Jiro was peeping, she quickly turned away when she spotted his gaze. Kaito rubbed his nape and let out a loud chuckle. "HA! It was nothing like that, really! I just praised her and her quirk, that's all!"

"Yeah, yeah. We're keeping our eyes on you!"

"More than you might think. Wait." Kaito glanced around. "Where's Iida?"

"He's fighting next, so he's on the prep room."

Kaito walked to his seat, passing by Kirishima whom he gave a high five.

"Hum, I see. So Atsuhito managed to break Shiozaki's vines with pure force. I wonder if that was the only way.." Midoriya was muttering to himself.

"What's he doing?" Kaito questioned.

"He's been doing that since your match ended."

"Midoriya..." Kaito tried getting his attention, Midoriya was still muttering. "Midoriya!"

"Uh?!" Midoriya got startled. "Oh, hi, Atsuhito."

"What're you doing? Taking notes?"

"Um, yes. It's not every day that I get to see incredible quirks from people outside our class."

"May I see it?"

"Sure."

Kaito eyeballed the note book. He remembered that it was this notebook that Bakugo blew up months ago.

"Woah. You really did note my quirk. Astonishingly accurately, even. Shiozaki's too."

"Yep. When you ripped her vines, did you know that it would've worked?"

"Frankly? No. I just tried and was lucky I guess. It would be embarrassing if it didn't, so I'm glad it worked out."

"Time for the forth match!" Present Mic called out. "Get ready to watch two new players Duke it out! He's the kid with engines in his legs! Tenya Iida! Versus, a fully equipped gadget dynamo, the support course's Mei Hatsume!"

"Hey, it's that weird girl!" Kaito pointed out.

"So it's hero course vs support course." Jiro pointed out.

"I have no idea what this fight will look like." Asui added.

"What's up with Iida?" Sato questioned, pointing Iida out. "Where'd he get all that gear from?"

At first, the match didn't begin because of some trouble regarding support equipment on Iida's part, but that quickly got sorted out. I would like to say that the fight begun after that, but it didn't. It wasn't a fight at all! Hatsume used the opportunity to show off her gear in somewhat of a genius, twisted(?), way to promote her creations, poor Iida. After ten minutes of this "commercial break" of sorts, she just stepped out of bounds, ending the match.
