"Hmmm... I can't say I never saw this before, but it is still impressive, to say the least." Said the Yoshi doctor, looking at Kaito's exams, nothing out of the ordinary, he's simply analyzing what could have possibly 'awakened' the dormant quirk.
"So you're telling me this isn't new?" Mr. Atsuhito asked, a little concern on his voice, in the meantime, Kaito is testing out his new quirk, much to his excitement, even his girlfriend is giddy with the discovery.
"Not exactly new." Replied the doctor. "I've seen plenty of cases where an individual inherited both quirks from their parents, but during the early years of the quirk development, the quirk genes inherited from one parent is more 'dominant' in a way, so initially the individual seems to have only one quirk." He explained. "It's not rare to see someone that inherits the 'body's of one parent, and the 'quirk' of the other. So there's nothing to worry about here."
Mr. Atsuhito lets out a sigh of relief hearing that from the doctor.
"There are stories of some people 'awakening' the dormant part of their quirks in situations of great duress, so that's probably what we're looking at here." the doctor theorized. "The only problem here is that you're gonna have to update your quirk registry, that's all." He said in a comic tone. "Don't worry, it happens all the time. Now, if you excuse me... we're kinda busy here today, as you might imagine, need anything, just let me know." The doctor left.
"Alright! So there's nothing wrong after all!" Exclaimed Kaito, excited with his new quirk.
"So it would seem..." Agreed his father. "You have two quirks now, I hope it serves you well!"
"You're gonna have to train your new quirk too." Added Kyoka. "If it works like I imagine, you could ask Yao Momo's help with that." She suggested.
"Good idea!" Kaito looked at his arms, the shiny metallic look, a little bit of concentration and his arms return to normal. "Not bad..." He grinned.
