After the exam was over, the candidates were free to change clothes and wait around for the results. After changing into their school uniforms, class A eagerly awaited along with other classes.
"You did great out there, Atsuhito." Midoriya praised.
"Thanks, you did great too. We make a good team, don't you think?"
"Uh-hum." He nodded. "I'm just worried. I made some mistakes."
"Everyone did, that was the first time we did something like that."
"Ok everyone...Thanks for your hard work in today's exam." The announcer caught their attention. "Before I announce the results, I should probably explain the way we evaluated you. Between the HUC and us of the Public Safety Comission, we have a two folded merit system that we use to determine your total scores. In other words, we evaluate you based on how few mistakes you made in a crisis situation."
"Yikes..." Kaito looked at Todoroki.
"Anyway...the names of those who passed are here, in alphabetical order. Keep my words in mind as you search the screen for your name." He turned on a bigass screen. The candidates eyeballed it.
"Um.. A-A-A-Atsuhito-!"
"MIDORIYA!"
"We did it!"
As for the rest of the class, almost all of them passed the exam... almost.
Todoroki and Bakugo didn't pass the exam.
"Todoroki!" Yoarashi approached with a menacing look he glared at Todoroki. Then violently bowed. "I'm sorry! It's my fault that you didn't pass the licensing exam! I was too narrow minded, forgive me!"
Todoroki took a meaningful pause before answering.
"You're fine. I was the one that got us off to a bad start.
"But still-"
"And thanks to the things you said, I have a lot to think about."
"Holy crap, did he really fail?" Ashido couldn't believe.
"How could our top two classmates not pass the exam?" Sero wondered.
"Should've been more careful with what you said." Kaminari smugly told Bakugo. "Words are important, you know."
Bakugo glared at him with a threatening aura.
"Shut your mouth before I murder you!"
"Those entitled people at the top think so highly of themselves, don't they?" Said Mineta. "Their egos are their worst enemy! Looks like our class hierarchy is collapsing!"
"Shut up grape." Kaito lightly slapped him to defuse the situation." Don't rub salt in their wounds."
"So next we'll give you your results!" Declared the announcer. "They include a breakdown of your scores, so you'll know exactly what areas you need to improve going forward."
"Atsuhito." One of the exam officials handed him his results.
"Thanks!" Kaito looked down at the results and smiled. "Damn I'm good."
"We lobbed off points when you did something wrong. Fall below 50 and you're done." Explained the announcer.
"I got 89? Woah. Not bad." Said Kaito.
