Chapter 21 - Not Bad, Gravity Girl!

(Author's note: Sorry if the writing in this and the next chapter seems kinda sloppy, I wasn't feeling too well this week, so that's that. Also, this was supposed to be one big chapter, but then I decided to divide in two to fit better. Again, sorry if the quality is kinda bad, I hope you guys enjoy it anyway. And one more thing! Uraraka rushed towards Bakugo, keeping it low to the ground, Bakugo quickly countered with a blast.

"Huh. He's not holding back after all." Kaito remarked.

Uraraka then used her jacket in combination to the smoke screen created by Bakugo's blast to make a distraction, sending her jacket as a decoy. She almost got him, Bakugo countered again, sending her flying.

"Look at that reaction time." Sero commented.

"Seriously, the dude's insane. You just can't get the drop on him." Kaminari added.

The fight proceeded like that, Uraraka trying to get close enough to use her quirk, while Bakugo blasted her from a safe distance. A scene hard to watch.

"Is she ok?" Tsu questioned.

"I can't watch it." Jiro covered her eyes.
"Like I always suspected. Bakugo is a total sadist."

"Seriously, people?" Kaito jumped in. "You all should really come up with something else besides feeling sorry for her."

"Atsuhito?" Midoriya was surprised. "What do you mean?"

"You're defending Bakugo?" Mineta questioned.

"That's not it at all, listen..."

"This is shameful!" A random hero in the crowd spoke up, standing up.

"Listen kid, do you really want to be a hero? Then stop acting like a bully! If you're so good just send her out of bounds!" The crowd started booing Bakugo.

"Woah, somebody should bring this guy a clown costume." Kaito was irritated with the comments.

"Where is the man who started this uproar. Are you a pro?" Suddenly, Mr. Aizawa spoke up through the mic. "Because if you are being serious you can go home and hang up your cape."

"You tell em, Mr. Aizawa!" Kaito stood up, cheering."

"I'd suggest looking into another career!" Aizawa continued.

"You know what's he talking about?" Midoriya wondered.

"You too, Midoriya? Out of all people? I don't think you guys understand the GRAVITY of the situation (ba dum tss). Take a look, all of you!" Kaito pointed at something as Aizawa continued.

"Bakugo's fierceness is an acknowledgment of his opponent's strength, he knows she deserved to have made this far! So he's making sure to do whatever it takes to keep her at bay!"

"Not bad, Gravity Girl!" Kaito grinned.

"A meteor shower!?" Iida was surprised.

"She had a plan all along!" Midoriya gleamed.

Uraraka used the ring debris from Bakugo's explosions to store up weapons to release at the right time, she released them in a meteor shower in hopes to distract Bakugo just enough to make an opening for her to catch the W. Unfortunately, Bakugo blew away her chance to win in a single huge explosion, sending a shockwave through the stadium.

The crowd was in shock with such display of power. Uraraka even tried to stand up again, but she was too weakened, so she fell again.

"Uraraka is K.O'd. Bakugo advances to the second round."

Midoriya went to his waiting room. Bakugo returned to the class.

"Hey, Bakugo! Playing the villain, huh? Must've been tough." Sero commented.

"Even if it was just because of who you were up against, you did make a pretty convincing bad guy." Tsu complimented?

"For real dude, I dunno how you were able to aim a powerful blast at a frail girl like that." Kaminari wondered.

"I definitely wouldn't call that girl frail." He mumbled.

Kaito heard that and smiled softly, knowing damn well Bakugo isn't one to say stuff like that unless he really recognizes his opponent's strength.

"Alright then. Who's next?" Kaito questioned.

"Kirishima... Tie breaker round." Iida replied.

"Oh, that's right. There they are! Let's go Kiribro! Don't you dare lose!"

"Woohoo! We're finally about to learn who is the winner of the seventh match. Kirishima or Tetsutetsu."
Kirishima is the winner! Add him to the bracket!"

"Yeeeeah!" Kaito cheered.

"Now we've got s full roster to the next round of the tournament! Let's get this party started now, ya dig?"

"Alright, top dogs now. This match is gonna be real interesting." Kaito commented.

"So the match hasn't started yet? Good" Uraraka returned.

"Something horrible has happened to your eyes! You need to see recovery girl now!" Iida pointed out, worried.

"I already did. This is... Something else."
"Oh, of course. If I were you I'd be frustrated too."

"You did great out there, gravity girl." Kaito patted her head.

"Thanks!" She smiled sweetly.

"Don't let this discourage you, this isn't the end of the road, just the beginning, there will be other chances."

"He's right. It's no time to wallow. Use this next fight as a source of encouragement." Tokoyami suggested.

"Will do!"

"You two are so wise." Iida admitted.

"I can feel the anticipation in the stadium! And that's because the second round's first match is gonna be epic! It's the guy who won his last match by a landslide and literally left half the audience frozen! The hero course's Shoto Todoroki! And this kid almost walked out of his first match up, but made a stunning comeback by showing some impressive moves! Also from the hero course, Izuku Midoriya!"

"How do you guys think this match will go?" Iida wondered.

"It depends on whether or not Midoriya is able to get in close to him." Tokoyami commented.

"Yeah." Uraraka agreed. "But that's the problem. How will Deku avoid the ice? What do you think, Atsuhito?" She questioned.

"Hum? Oh, well... it's hard to say. This match can go anywhere from over in an instant and a hard fought battle." He looked over both students, ready to fight. "Midoriya is bound to come up with something if he wants to win."

"Both of these heroes in training have been front runners in the sports festival, but which one of these rivals will advance to the next round? Prepare for Midoriya versus Todoroki!"

"Do your best, future hero."

"BEGIN!!"
