"What the?! What do you mean, Ojiro?" Questioned Kaito, joining the guy in his distraught.
"That guy has some sort of mind control quirk. I think he activates it when you talk or something like that!" Ojiro deducted, that would explain his reaction.
"He didn't stand out in the first rounds and all, but it's possible Shinso is crazy powerful! Who could've imagined this turn of events? That's the festival for ya!"
Suddenly, Midoriya turned around and began walking towards the edge of the ring.
"What the hell is he doing?" Kaito rose up from his seat, worried.
"No, Deku! What are you doing?!"
"He can't do that! He'll lose the match if he does!" Iida pointed out.
"What kind of strong quirk is that?"
Then, out of nowhere, Midoriya sent a shockwave with his down quirk with only his fingers. The shock woke him up.
"What's this? Midoriya stopped just in time!" The crowd goes wild.
"That's the way to do it!" Kaito cheered.
"Woah. I was about to freak out."
Uraraka let out a relieved sigh.
"Oof. That just about killed me." Ojiro sat back down, relieved too.
Midoriya then charged towards Shinso, he tried to push him off the ring. Shinso tried to counter. But Midoriya managed to throw him over his shoulder, sending him off bounds.
"Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to the next match!"
"He actually did it. Had me worried for a second." Kaito sat back down.
"That was so nerve wracking." Uraraka added.
"Turning the tables at the last second. A classic Midoriya maneuver."
"That was actually kind of a boring first match, kids. But both of you fought bravely! Let's show em some love everyone!"

After a brief pause, it was time for the second match. Midoriya had to go to Recovery Girl, to, well, recover, nothing too serious. A thumbs up and a smile from Kaito when he returned told him everything he needed to know.
"Enough standing around! Let them walk to the ring! Our next players!"
"Alright, now this is a match I want to see." Kaito comments.
"Me too, man. Sero and Todoroki both have crazy skills." Kaminari added.
"He's got skills! But at the expense of some really creepy looking elbows! From the hero course! It's Hanta Sero! Versus; An early front runner in the competition who's way too strong to his own good. Someone who's rightfully got into the hero course based on recommendations. It's Shoto Todoroki! Here we go!" Everyone watched closely.
