Mizuki's POV
It was now the second day of the tournament. Our match is the first of the day so we got up early to warm up and practice. Yesterday, we passed the first round and defeated Tsubakihara.
And as if I wasn't unlucky enough, we're gonna face Inarizaki today.I'm still traumatized by yesterday's events. I don't want to see Atsumu again, and if he doesn't stop after what I said yesterday, he'll lose all my respect. In the first place, he didn't know I have a boyfriend, nor does he believe that I have one. But that's not enough to kiss someone who is CLEARLY not willing and comfortable to be kissed.
But I have to divert my attention to something more important. The match is more important than the issue I have with Atsumu. And with that, I'll cheer for Kei as loud as I possibly can, because that's what I promised him.
Last night, we discussed and planned for our match with Inarizaki. And I'm sad I couldn't be of much help.
They must've expected something, because the moment Miya Atsumu's name was mentioned, Hinata immediately said, "Oh, Mizuki-chan, your ex!"
Everyone's reaction was dumbfounded. Even me. But I disliked Atsumu in the past, so I never really watched any of his match. Nor did I play Volleyball with him before. I only know that he's one of the best setters in the country.
So I'm willing to give my best in practice today!
We left for Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and was currently practicing and warming up.
I was currently passing and receiving with Kei, chatting at the same time. It's also our 2 months into a relationship today. And we didn't intend to celebrate but he wanted to distract me from things.
"How about just showing him that I'M your boyfriend?", he suggested.
"No, that will distract both of you from the match.", I chuckled.
"You'll be cheering for me anyway.", he smirked.
"Kei, stop thinking about him, you should focus on your match! You're more concerned about it than I am.", I said.
He caught the ball, instead of passing it back. He looked down, seeming to have a lot in his mind. I approached him and did what I always used to do to him.
I reached my hands out and pinched his cheeks, pulling him down and closer to me. I gave him a reassuring smile.
"I want you to focus. In the end of the day, no matter what happens, you'll always have me...", I softly said.
He stared at me, holding one of my wrists.
"So focus all your attention on the game. Can you do that for me, hmm?", I asked him.
He blinked a few times and sighed, finally feeling at ease. He knows I'm right. Whether Atsumu sincerely apologizes or continues bugging me, I'm still in love with Kei and Kei only.
Kei nodded and took my right hand that was still pinching his cheek. I let go of him and he kissed my right hand.
"Thank you.", he smiled softly.
I felt my heart skip a beat at his smile. Two months in and I still get flustered at every single thing he does! I'm so whipped for him. I felt myself blush lightly but I just took the ball and went back to my place earlier.
He knows exactly what I felt so he has the most obnoxious, shit eating smirk plastered on his face. I just threw the ball and he received it.
"Zukko-chan is flustered. I made Zukki-chan blush. Zukki-chan loves my smile. Zukki-chan's heart goes doki doki.", he said in a teasing yet monotone voice.
