~In the events of Chapter 40: Happy You're Alive, on Akaashi's birthday~
Mizuki's POV
I sighed heavily and got out of the building. Today was really exhausting so I can't wait to see Akaashi later. The day is just filled with this unsettling feeling that I can't rest. No, that I SHOULDN'T rest, so that I can avoid losing focus and possibly messing up a song.
Is it normal to be this anxious in the music industry? Man, the more I stay there, the more I respect producers and directors who work on this every single day.
I mean, I guess it's normal since it's my first time. If I get used to it, I probably wouldn't complain as much.
As I was walking, I received a notification on my phone so I pulled it out to see a message from my boyfriend.
Keiji miluv~: hey, love, turn around.
I raised my eyebrow and turned around to see him. I gasped, squealed lightly and ran to him. I jumped into his arms excitedly, hugging him tightly as he chuckles at my excitement.
"You're here!", I cheerfully said.
He wrapped my legs on his waist as he carried me. We were still in the parking lot so there was no one around.
"Surprise.", he smiled at me.
"Aww, you didn't have to pick me up, you came from practice right?", I pouted at him.
"I wouldn't miss picking up my girlfriend from work.", he replied and I giggled.
"Happy Birthday, babe!", I kissed him.
He chuckled through the kiss but also kissed me back, humming. After a few seconds, we pulled away.
"Thanks, baby.", he chuckled, hugging me before putting me down.
"How was you day?", I asked him, holding his hand as we walked.
"It was fine. Bokuto-san gave me this bothersome squiggly pen that looks like a pipe cleaner.", he replied.
"That sounds like a Bokuto thing to give.", I commented.
"It sure is.", he chuckled.
"I purposely left my gift for you at my hotel room so you can come later and spend time with me there.", I huffed proudly.
"Darling, you just have to ask me then I'll be right there with you.", he smiled at me.
Ah, that smile. That smile could kill me and step on me and I'll be grateful for it.
"Darling, you good?", he asked me, he must've noticed that I was staring at him.
"I'm more than okay. I'm not gonna let you out of my grasp later, Akaashi Keiji.", I smirked at him.
"I'll be glad to.", he smirked back.
Man, we're totally simping for each other. We really are meant to be.
"Good.", I smiled in satisfaction, intertwining our hands.
"How about you, how's your day?", he asked.
"It was fine, stressful but fine.", I sighed.
"I know you better than that, you're probably so stressed right now huh?", he asked, making me chuckle.
