Chapter 8: Cold Type

Mizuki's POV

Today, we're gonna be going on a small trip for some practice matches. I was excited because I get to see my brothers again. Me, Kiyoko and Yachi loaded the bus with all the necessary things for this trip. Everyone else boarded the bus and I did some final check on the things before boarding.

"All right, that's everything.", I said, walking down the middle to head on to my usual seat beside Tsukishima.

"Okay, we're ready to go.", Mr. Takeda said, sitting down the driver's seat.

"Please drive safely.", we all said.

The moment I settle down, my phone ringed. I took it out and saw the caller.

"Akaashi-san?", I answered my phone with a smile.

"Hi Mii-chan. Did you leave already?", he asked.

"We left the school just now.", I answered.

"Oh, okay. Just checking up on you.", he replied.

"Why? Excited to see me?", I joked. It was silent for a while before he answer.

"Yes.", he answered. My eyes widened a bit and I chuckled. "Also, Bokuto-san was bugging me. He's on his phone right now, I think he's gonna call Tsukishima.", he added.

"Oh, he's beside me right now.", I said, looking at Tsukishima. He looked back at me with a questioning look and I just smiled. I turned the speaker on so he could hear.

"He's calling in 3, 2, 1.", Akaashi said. Just then, Tsukishima's phone started ringing. He answered it and was greeted by a loud shout that I can here over at me and Akaashi's line.

"HEY HEY HEY TSUKKEEEHH!", Bokuto shouted.

"What is it?", Tsukishima asked.

"Are you ready to get your ass beaten again?", Bokuto asked.

"You called me just to ask that?", Tsukki replied.

"Well I'm excited to see you lose again. And also my precious Mii-chan, she's gonna play and I'm gonna beat her!", Bokuto exclaimed in determination.

"Okay. Bye.", Tsukishima replied and ended the call.

Me and Akaashi was just listening to their very short conversation.

"I can imagine Bokuto-san's face right now.", I told Akaashi.

"I'm sure it meets your vision.", he replied. I can hear Bokuto's enraged complains over the phone.

"I can hear him too.", I added, chuckling.

"Mhm, have you eaten yet?", he asked.
Woah, where did this come from? Hinata sat up from his seat and looked back at me, his face shookt. Kageyama peeked from the side with the same face too.

"U-uhm, not yet, why?", I asked.

"Well, the food in the cafeteria today is packed with goods so make space in your stomach.", he answered. Hinata's eyes started sparkling, as well as Kageyama's, Nishinoya's and Tanaka's. I gasped excitedly.

"Do they have my favorite?", I asked.

"Yes, your peanut butter sandwich is here. Lots of it. They also have a dessert bar here.", he added. Tsukishima snapped his head at me. His eyes are sparkling and his mouth is watering. It's amazing how this salty guy is in love with sweets.

"Really?! Do they have strawberry shortcakes???", I asked, looking at Tsukishima excitedly, waiting for his answer.

"Uhh, yeah they have two slices left. I don't know if there's more.", he answered.
