Chapter 44: Dreams

Tsukishima's POV

Blinding white was everywhere. But there was a body in the middle. It was Mizuki. Beside her was a guy. Someone I don't know.

He doesn't look like a relative, I know all of her cousins. Who is he?

And why is Mizuki in a hospital?

I moved closer and looked at her.

...

She was wounded all over. She has a bandage around her head, her cheek has a cut and her eyebrow has band-aid at the edge. Her hair was longer and she looks like she's been asleep for a long time.

What happened to her?

Suddenly she started opening her eyes. The guy was alarmed and quickly stood up. Mizuki looked around and then looked at the guy.

"Y-you're awake! I thought you'd never wake up, you've been asleep for 3 weeks.", the guy said.

"W-who are you?", Mizuki weakly asked.

"I'll tell you later, the doctors need to see you. May I know your name?", he asked.

"N-name?", she mumbled.

"Yeah, what's your name?", he asked.

You're Mizuki.

"I... I don't know.", she answered.

What?

I opened my eyes, my heart getting heavy. Why did I dream about that? I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. I sat up and wore my glasses.

Mizuki...

What happened there? I don't know, but luckily it was just a dream. If that really happened, I would've lost it. I yawned and stood up to wash my face.

It's the last day of training camp. Thank God. It's also the last day of Mizuki's stay in Tokyo. She got home safely last night according to Kenma and she'll be coming here in the afternoon before dusk.

I didn't want her to be forced to come here, but if she really wanted to see me, there's nothing I can really do about it. She's stubborn. But I love her that way. It's a relief that she doesn't have to be stressed anymore. Working there full time without experience really took a toll on her.

What I'm furious about is the fact that Hinata is here. Because of him, Mizuki and I can't have our date. Because we all have to go home together, she didn't want that shrimp to go home alone so we can't have our date.

It's not like this didn't happen before.

All our planned dates gets delayed or cancelled. It's funny at this point. But I want to at least have a date with her before the year ends. So I gotta plan this carefully.

I grabbed my phone and texted Mizuki. I'm sure she's awake by now.

Me: hey

Mine-zuki: good morning, kei<3

Me: morning

Me: are you at work now?

Mine-zuki: otw there, had breakfast first

Me: dont stress out too much

Mine-zuki: hehe if you say so

Mine-zuki: did you have breakfast?
