Third Person POV
The day after the concert, Mizuki didn't come to school because she wasn't feeling well, but she planned to visit Kei in the evening. Mizuki came in Kei's room, it was night, he was currently busy studying, but Mizuki wanted to see him to talk. It wasn't their date night or anything, she just wanted to clear things out in terms of their relationship.
He did it again. No matter how many times she cries, and he apologizes, he will still do the same.
No extremity can truly change him. And that's what Mizuki fears. He left her alone again for the longest time. It's as if he didn't care.
This time, instead of waiting for him to notice his mistake, Mizuki wanted to confront him about it early.
"Hey, babe.", Mizuki made a small smile, entering his room.
Kei didn't look at her and just continued reading.
"What are you doing here? It's late at night.", he said, flipping the page of his book.
"I just... wanted to see you.", she sat on his bed.
Please, smile or get flustered like you used to. She thought.
Kei looked at her and sighed.
"I'm really busy right now. Shouldn't you be studying too?", he asked.
"Y-you told me to take a break...", she mumbled, but Kei heard it.
"That's because you were complaining of headaches.", he replied.
That made Mizuki not want to speak. Those headaches, Kei didn't even bother to ask why. It was because Mizuki has also been overworking herself. But she still thinks Kei is important that's why she thinks of him often.
It was bothering her for a while now, Kei was getting colder and colder. He changed a lot.
Kei noticed the silence but chose to ignore it.
"Can you leave now? I'm not gonna be able to give you attention.", he said.
"I'm not a child that needs constant supervision. I just wanted to see you.", she replied.
"Well, now you saw me.", he said, his indirect way of telling Mizuki to leave.
Mizuki frowned as her eyes went teary. This hurts her so much but she's patiently trying to understand him. She slowly stood up to stand beside him, looking at what he's studying to try to mellow down his tense mood.
Kei sighed and sat properly, looking at Mizuki.
"What do you really want?", he asked.
He speaks like he wants her to leave, as if she's a bother.
Mizuki sat down on the floor, facing him. She hugged her knees and looked down. She didn't know what to say.
"U-uhm... d-did I do something wrong?", she asked.
Kei sighed tiredly and leaned on the table, grabbing a fistful of his hair in frustration.
He doesn't want more drama.
Mizuki flinched at his reaction. Her hands were slightly shaking in fear, she doesn't know what will come next.
"Look, I'm busy, okay? Let's not do this today.", Kei said.
"O-oh... i-it's just... you're doing it again. I don't want to prolong this problem so I just wanna tell you upfront.", she explained.
"Mizuki, I don't want any drama, not right now.", he complained.
