Chapter 34: See Ya

Mizuki's POV

It was now the second day of the festival. Yesterday was a blast. We managed to sell all our desserts until we run out. Me and Kei are also moving on to the next round of the pageant which is tomorrow. The rest of yesterday was just exploring other booths with the whole squad.

We went to the horror booth and believe me, I would never come there again even if it's the only safe place in the world.

FLASHBACK

"HARUKA THIS IS A BAD IDEA!", I shouted, clinging to Hinata while we were waiting in line for the horror booth.

Haruka was the first in line, then Tadashi, Yachi, Kageyama, Hinata, me and Kei at the back since I refuse to get attacked at the back by some zombie or vampire.

"This is a great idea! This is gonna be so much fun!", Haruka replied, holding up Tadashi's trembling hand.

"Why did I agree to this?", Yachi asked, shaking in her spot, holding the back of Tadashi's shirt.

"Dumbass Hinata, are you scared?", Kageyama smirked.

"Bakageyama! No, I'm not!", Hinata defended, he was obviously quivering.

"Shoyo, I'm counting on you!", I exclaimed, hugging him from the back.

"M-Mizuki-chan...", he muttered shyly.

I felt Kei remove my arms around Hinata. Jealous boi. So I clinged to him instead. I hugged him tightly, burying my head on his chest.

"Are you all stupid? None of these are real. The characters are just impersonation of fictional entities made to scare children.", Kei complained.

"Ghosts are real!", I hit his back.

"These aren't ghosts. They're humans in costumes.", he replied.

"So what? It's still scary!", I exclaimed.

"Don't blame me if you get nightmares tonight.", he muttered.

I didn't say anything and just waited for our turn. A few students screaming in fear exit the horror booth, running for their lives. I pouted and got more nervous now.

"Next!", one of the students behind the counter said.

"Here we go!", Haruka excitedly shouted.

We held on to the shoulders of whoever's in front of us. I shut my eyes close tightly as we slowly walk inside.

Right off the bat, we were greeted with a jumpscare.

"AHHH!", I shouted with some other people I can't name because I'm currently fighting for survival in this place.

I felt Hinata jump in shock and run away. I opened my eyes for a second and saw us scattered in places, running around.

"WE'RE GONNA DIE!", Hinata shouted.

"D-dumbass! This is nothing.", Kageyama replied, obviously scared too.

"HAHAHAHA! Wow this place is awesome!", I heard Haruka's voice.

"Y-Yachi-san! Are you still there?!", Tadashi shouted.

"Y-Yamaguchi-kun! Where are you guys?!", Yachi desperately shouted.

"KEI? ARE YOU STILL HOLDING ON TO ME?", I asked, freaking out.
