Tsukishima's POV

It was raining today, the sound calms me a lot. I was outside, my mother asked me to give a bento box to her close friend, Ms. Yamada.

Her house is actually close to Mizuki's, almost in front of hers. I walked silently in the rain under my umbrella, enjoying the calm clashing of raindrops on the ground. I arrived at the house and knocked on the door. After a few seconds, a little girl opened the door.

"Mom! There's a man at the door!", the girl called, then Ms. Yamada opened the door.

"Oh, Kei, you're here.", she said and I bowed. She opened the door to let me in.

"Oh, it's okay. I'm just here to give this. It's from mom.", I answered, giving her the bento box.

"Thank you, Kei. Say my thanks to her too. It's raining hard, you didn't have to.", she replied.

"It's no trouble.", I said.

"You should get going now before rain gets worse.", she smiled.

"Right, good bye.", I bowed.

"Stay safe!", she said and I turned around.

I heard the door close so I walked a few steps ahead. I decided to stop and look at Mizuki's house. It seemed quiet but the lights are on.

I wonder what she's doing now?

Suddenly, the door opened. Mizuki's father came out, he was dragging Mizuki by her hair. My eyes widened at the scene. He threw a crying Mizuki on the middle of the street.

"DON'T COME BACK UNTIL YOU GET YOUR MIND STRAIGHT!", he shouted and went inside.

Mizuki sat there, crying. She has holding her right shoulder and stood up. She tried to walk but she was limping. I think she twisted her ankle when she fell. She started walking away so I followed her quietly. Maybe she has a place to stay.

But she looked like she was aimlessly wandering.

She kept on limping away, but then she stopped and stood still. I approached her but then she fell down, so I ran towards her. She was curled into a ball, eyes half closed, still crying. I kneeled down and held her hand. I noticed the blood on her shoulder, she was cut.

"Mizuki?!", I called, trying to keep her awake. She looked up and stared at me.

"T-tsukki...", she spoke, gripping my hand.

"Come on, I need to get you home and treat your wound.", I said and carried her on my back.

I ran to my house at fast as I can. She was getting weak, and was still crying. She held me close but loosely, I can feel her grip slowly loosening.

"Mizuki, stay with me.", I said, running faster. (A/N: Do people still say that line? "Stay with me" at a time like that means "Stay awake")

She groaned in response and adjusted her hold on me. I arrived at my house and rushed inside. I opened the door and ran pass my mom.

"Mom, she's weak, she has a wound.", I said and ran to the bathroom so she could take a bath immediately to avoid getting sick.

Mom assisted me on laying her on the tub. She turned the warm water on and asked me to go outside. My heart was beating faster as I wait so I listened through the door.

"Dear, you have to take a bath, Kei will treat your wounds later, can you manage?", my mom asked.

"T-thank you.", I heard a weak voice say.

"Alright, here's the towel and use the hairdryer to dry your hair, it'll help.", my mom replied.

I stood far from the door, waiting for my mom to come out. When she did, she looked at me.
