Mizuki's POV
After much debate, I finally agreed to take a bath with Kei. I'm basically beside a devil in a bath. I wore a white sports bra and white cycling shorts while Kei just wears his boxers.
I told him to go in the tub first since it would prevent me from kicking his face in embarrassment of seeing him almost naked. I entered the bathroom and saw Kei in the tub.
Let me remind you, it's winter and I'm practically naked so I'm FREEZING. I ran inside and was about to jump in the tub.
"DON'T, YOU'LL WET MY--", he warned but I already jumped inside, laughing. "Glasses...", he finished.
"Ahh, finally, some warmth.", I ignored his remark.
He removed his glasses and set it aside. He sighed and looked at me.
"You're lucky I have bad eyesight and couldn't see your body well.", he said.
He snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him. He rest his chin on my shoulder so I end up leaning on his chest.
It's a different feeling when our bare skin came into contact. This way, I felt his heartbeat more clearly. He's closer in a way that there's nothing blocking us from feeling each other's presence.
I felt my face warm up a bit but I just relaxed in his arms. He splashed some water on my chest, just because he could.
"So, how's your step siblings?", he asked.
"Oh... they're really nice. Papa said that they're also blessed with intelligence, that's how they figured out the truth... That Papa was their biological father.", I answered, playing with the bubbles.
"They're like you.", he said.
"Yeah.", I nodded looking down.
"Do you get along well?", he asked.
"Mhm, Mako also likes stuffed toys, she's shy and quiet. But she clings and takes interest to people who she feels safe with. Eiji was more brave, he's nice but shy when complimenting me. He's protective of Mako.", I answered with a smile.
"Looks like it wouldn't be a problem after all. You've already accepted them as your siblings.", he said, playing with my hair that's floating in the water.
"Well, they did nothing wrong. They're nice so they deserve to be treated well.", I replied.
"...what about your father?", he asked.
"I understand him completely... it's just hard to accept the truth.", I looked down and sighed.
But I couldn't view this in a negative way. My siblings are a blessing. They bring joy to other people, and it's not their fault.
"It's fine, it was an accident. He didn't mean for any of this to happen. I just... couldn't believe that something happened not long after my mother's death. It's THAT quick. But I just need to clear my mind, that's all.", I answered.
He smiled and pat my head.
"That's good.", he kissed the top of my head.
"I end up staying with you again.", I looked at him, our noses touching.
"I'm not complaining.", he chuckled, pecking my lips.
"Oh, by the way. I was wondering if my grandparents know about the twins already.", I said.
"Probably not.", he replied.
"No, I'm saying this because they usually keep guard of Papa ever since mom died. Maybe they know already.", I looked down.
