Mizuki's POV
"That's all checked, the outfits are all ready, everyone's good to go. Sound check is good. Let's have a short break first but report back immediately after. Be here 2 hours before the concert starts, got it?", Marusuke said.
We all agreed and left the gymnasium. Today is the day of our performance and we couldn't be more excited. We just finished our dry run of the performance as well as checking if everything works properly. Kei and I went back to our classroom for a short break since Kei wanted to study for an upcoming assessment.
We were alone in the room, maybe because everyone else was enjoying the festival.
Kei was once again stuck in a loop of studying and ignoring me. I got the hang of it eventually, but he's always absent when I need him. This is not a matter of getting used to, I believe. Maybe once we settled down in our responsibilities, we could have more time together.
After a while of silence, we heard a knock on the door. We looked and the door didn't open. So I stood up and opened the door to see...
No one?
I looked around and saw that there was no one around. So I closed the door and when I turned around...
"Akaashi? Kenma?", I smiled, running towards them for a hug.
"Hey, Mii-chan.", Akaashi greeted, hugging me back.
"It's so great to see you again. I missed you guys!", I sighed, not letting go of them.
"It's okay, we have the entire day to spend together.", Kenma smiled at me.
I let go of them and looked at Kei who was still reading. Kei looked up for a second and waved at them.
"Hi, Tsukki. How are you?", Akaashi asked.
"Pretty busy, as you can see.", Kei answered.
"I know, being a second year is worse than being a third year.", Akaashi chuckled.
"Thanks for the warning.", Kei sighed.
Akaashi continued chatting with him as I talk to Kenma.
"Still ignoring you, I see.", Kenma pointed out.
"He's not. He's just busy, he's really stressed too.", I defended.
"It's okay, you're gonna have a great day today, I promise.", Kenma smiled, handing me a paperbag. "I'll start with this."
I looked inside and gasped, seeing the cookies from the famous cafè in Tokyo. It has premium flavors that are really unique so I was curious about it. I once told Kenma about it during a call together but I didn't think he would actually buy it! I heard people wait in line for hours just to order these.
"Oh my gosh...", I started.
I squealed excitedly and put it down on the table, I pulled out the container from the bag and saw different kinds of cookies. They look delicious!
"Ken... you didn't have to.", I pouted, hugging him.
"I want to.", he replied.
"Thank you...", I added.
"You're welcome.", he smiled.
"How long did you wait for?", I asked, letting go of him.
"2 hours.", he answered.
"I knew it. Was there a long line?", I asked.
"Yeah, people are obsessed with these.", he answered.
"How do you have the patience to wait that long? Well, I guess you can easily do that by just playing games.", I said as I sit down near Kei and Akaashi.
