A/N: Y'ALL KNOW WHO YOU'RE GONNA MEET IN THIS CHAPTER, IT'S MIYA FREAKING ATSUMUUUU--
In honor of episode 15 coming out tomorrow ^^
~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~Mizuki's POV
They were all still resting and cleaning up. I talked to Hinata earlier and thankfully he was able to think of a way to not let this opportunity go to waste. But I can't get Goshiki out of my mind, I still can't believe he liked me. Shirabu isn't lying when he said that. Maybe he IS giving hints, maybe I'm just oblivious of his feelings for me. I'm just stupid.
But I don't see Goshiki like that, I never did. Even if I hadn't met Kei.
I sighed and approached him from the back. I tapped his shoulder, earning his attention.
He turned around and looked down at me. I was cupping my hands nervously and I looked up at him. His face was red.
"U-uhm, can we talk outside?", I asked.
"S-sure.", he answered.
I went outside and I felt him follow me. Once we were alone, I cleared my throat.
"So... Shirabu told me you liked me.", I started.
"W-what?! That talkative--", Goshiki gritted his teeth.
But I chuckled, making him stop.
"Sorry, I didn't notice your feelings for me.", I muttered quietly.
"I-It's not your fault.", he looked away in embarrassment.
"Since when did you have a crush on me? I thought you didn't like me. You always avoid my questions, you always look away from me. I don't get it.", I scratched the back of my head.
"I get nervous.", he answered shyly.
"Oh.", I said.
"I-I never hated you. I always watch you from afar, every time you practice with Ushijima-san, or every time you play with Shirabu. Or every time you cry because of your anxiety. I-I just had the courage to talk to you when we're in senior high school. But you left too soon. That's... one of the things I regret the most.", he added, looking down.
He knows about my anxiety attacks...
"I wanted to protect you, the same way my seniors does. But I couldn't ", he said.
"What do you mean? You protected me back then. Didn't you notice I was much more peaceful when you're with me? You save me all the time!", I exclaimed.
"If I did, you wouldn't have left Shiratorizawa.", he replied.
My eyes widened in shock. Did he really blame himself?
"Goshiki, it's not your fault! Even Semi and the others couldn't control the bullying. Please don't blame yourself.", I frowned.
"I'm different, I'm with you the whole day, they're not. I had the chance to take care of you, but I couldn't.", he looked down.
"Goshiki...", I pouted. He looked at me with slightly red cheeks but smiled anyway.
"It's okay. There's some regrets, but if you didn't go to Karasuno, you wouldn't smile at brightly as you do now. And you wouldn't have met Tsukishima.", he said.
I looked down and hugged myself, still feeling bothered.
"So I'm happy, and satisfied.", he smiled widely.
My eyes widened, but his words made me smile.
"W-well, I don't want things to get awkward between us.", I started. "Can we stay friends? I don't want us to become strangers."
