“We found these by the border, your highness” the guard told the queen. She had pale white skin with completely black eyes. Around the eyes she had a red line. She wore a big fancy black dress with a necklace of pearls upon pearls.
“State you purpose” she order them
“Um we were just…” Lexi stopped deciding whether to tell the queen the truth or lie to her
“We are here looking for her father, last we heard he was seen here” Jared decided for Lexi
“Oh” the queen said very interested, “Who might your father be little girl?”
“Um” Lexi looked at Jared
“Axel Von Ferdinand” Jared informed the queen
“Does the young girl not know how to speak?” the queen asked irritated
“Of course I speak” Lexi told the queen
“Then why don’t you answer any of my questions?” the queen asked her
“Because… I didn’t know what to say” Lexi told the queen
“Well last I heard Sir Von Ferdinand did not have any children” the queen changed the subject
“Yeah well until a few days ago I was James daughter” Lexi told the queen, “Well do you know where he might be at?”
“Maybe” a big grin spread across the queen showing long thin-like shard teeth
“What do you mean maybe?” Jared asked
“Meaning I am still deciding whether I should tell you or not” the queen admitted
“Do you mind telling choosing yes and a little faster” Lexi asked the queen
“No I need time” a glance of irritation passed though the queen’s face, “take them back to their cells”
“Oh no, I am not going back in there” Lexi told the queen
“I am not asking you, go” the queen yelled
“What is all the commotion out here?” a man stepped out of a door way toward the right of the queen. He walked out to see guards ready to pounce on Jared and Lexi.
“This young girl here doesn’t want to go back to her cell” the queen informed the man. He was tall and very dashing. He had jet black hair with beautiful grey stunning eyes. He dressed elegant in a tuxedo.
“Why don’t you want to go back to your cell?” the man approached Lexi and Jared
“Because it is really weird and creepy in there and it is not like we did anything wrong nor illegal to get put in the cell we only came because I am looking for my father, which the queen doesn’t want to tell me if she knows where he is at” Lexi explained to the man
“Oh” the man looked at her amazed
“Why don’t you come with me we can talk in my study?” the man began walking toward the door. Lexi followed with Jared a few steps behind her.
“Wait can I have my friends?” Lexi asked the queen
“Sure where are they?” the man asked
“I have no idea we got separated when we got knocked out” Lexi told the man
“Oh, your highness can you please take their friends to my study?” the man asked the queen
“Yes of course, well you heard him go get the other prisoners” the queen order her guards
“Come on” the man told them. They continued to follow the man down short, wide narrow and long corridors until they final went into a large room. Inside there was book-shelves from ceiling to floor covered in books some laid in the tables that were around the room.
“Sorry for the mess, but there is no more room in the book-shelves” the man apologized
“It is okay” Lexi said looking around in amazement she had never seem this many books in one place
“You like books?” the man asked
“Yes” she admitted
“I can tell you look like a little girl in a candy shop” the man told her
“Oh it’s just that I have never seen this many books in a room, it looks like you might have 10,000 books in just this room” Lexi told him
“Actually I have 15,615” the man told her, “Come on sit down and let us talk”
Lexi walked over to the sofa that was in front of the chimney and sat next to Jared. The man handed them a cup with something war in then went to sit in an armchair in front of hem
“I don’t think we have properly introduced ourselves” the man told them
“I’m Zaharra Evans or Von Ferdinand I still don’t know what to choose” Lexi told the man not knowing what her last name was.
“I’m Jared Pierce” Jared introduced himself
“Zaharra why would you have to choose?” the man nodded at Jared and then asked Lexi
“Because who I thought my real dad was really isn’t and he did not know either until a few years ago so his last name really isn’t mine, and I don’t know my real dad and I don’t think he knows me so I don’t know if to use his last name; oh and call me Lexi” Lexi explained
“Okay Lexi, well I think you should used Von Ferdinand” the man told her
“But what if he doesn’t want me to be a Von Ferdinand?” she asked worried
“But I do want you to be Von Ferdinand and you are exactly as I picture you” the man told her
“Then you are…” Lexi asked confused
“Axel Von Ferdinand” the man introduced himself
“Oh my I have been looking for you” Lexi told him happily
“Do I at least get a hug?” Axel asked her
“Yes” Lexi handed her cup to Jared and went to hug her dad
“Why are we so happy?” Noah asked as he walked in
“Wow is there a lot of books here” Roxie pointed out
“What is going on?” Noah asked
“I found my dad” Lexi told them
