Chapter 20

“You’re almost as tall as me” Jared teased

“Shut up” Lexi told him

“You sure you okay?” he asked her again

“Yes, no not really my stomach hurts and my feet are burning” she explicated

“Take them off then, if it’s a consolation you look pretty” Jared told her

“If Amelia finds out she will throw such a huge fit” said Lexi

“You met her too?” he asked

“Yes” she expressed

“Here why don’t you sit down and I’ll go look for him” Jared signaled to a sofa

“Fine” she told him and went to sit in the sofa

“Jared” Noah called out

“Over here” Jared exclaimed

“We found him” Noah told him pointing at Sebastian

“Oh my god I can’t take this any longer” Roxie yelled sitting down on the sofa

“Then take them off” Noah told her

“You girls look dazzling, but sit up straight” Amelia told them as she passed by and then before she turned into the next corridor she called out “The queen is waiting for you in the main room”

Noah, Jared, and Sebastian started to walk toward the main room. Lexi and Roxie were still in the sofa trying to get up. It was impossible to do anything with those corsets

“Can you help us up?” Lexi asked Jared

“Aww, come on Noah lets help up these old ladies” Jared teased, walking back to help them up. He extended his hand to help Lexi up. She took his hand and he pulled her up. Once she straightened up she punched him in the arm.

“What was that for?” Jared said rubbing his arm

“For calling me old” Lexi told him and started to walk toward the main room

“And this is for calling me old” Roxie punched Jared in the other arm

“I’m telling you they are like mutant girls they have such strong arms” Jared affirmed

“Now that is more presentable” the queen told them as they stood in front of her

“Do we have to wear corsets?” Roxie asked

“Yes you do, only workers don’t wear any” the queen told them

“Can we be workers?” Lexi asked

“Don’t be silly the Guardian should never work nor her protector or helpers” she expressed inspecting her nails

“We really don’t mind working” Lexi told her

“Why don’t you go along and inspect the realm” she told them coldly. As they were walking out the queen yelled at them “And don’t you dare take those corsets off you look breath taking”

They walked out into the courtyard. All they saw were workers going from place to place organizing everything. There were no villagers here. They continued to walk around until they saw the eglions.

“Think we can use those?” Noah asked

“Sure we can it’s not like there is a sign that say it doesn’t” Jared told them

“And if the sign did say so them you would have not listen to it” Roxie told him

“You got that right” Jared said hopping on to the eglion
