Chapter 5

The Lincon turned into a huge building. It was so pretty the way the sun was coming up behind the huge building the way its features stand out, it made it look like an old Victorian house. As the car parked Noah and Jared opened the door in union. She looked at the way Jared got out and past him she could see a fountain with an angel holding a sword in the middle water running down the angel. She got out and walked up to the fountain and sat in its edge.

“You just going to sit there or are you going to come inside?” Jared asked holding her suitcase.

She got up and followed her into the house. Once she got inside her breath was taken away in amassment. It was huge and the floors where made of gradient. There were statues everywhere. The pictures in the walls were colorful and radiated happiness. There was not a single spot that had dust on it. As she looked up she saw a huge chandelier that shot out little rainbow caused by the sunrays hitting the crystals. Then she saw a lady walk out of a huge door the lady like her mom dressed in skirt suits. Her hair was up in a bun she looked very businesslike.

“Ms. Evans, I assume?” she said once she got to the bottom of the stars.

“Yes” I looked a Jared next to me as to what to do, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“I am Caroline Williams” she informed Lexi

“Would you like something to drink or eat?”

“No thank you”

“Okay then come with me” she started to walked up the stairs with Lexi behind her.

“Mrs. Williams is this your house?” Lexi asked as she walked up the stairs.

 “No, it’s not a house it’s an institute, but I do run it, oh and please call me Caroline” she said with a big smile on her face as she opened a door “this is where you are staying there are some towels in the restroom and some covers in the closet if you want to go to sleep, since I believe you have had a rough night traveling six hours in a car”

“I slept the whole way so I’m not the tired but I would like to take a shower” Lexi said as she went to the restroom.

“Then I’ll leave you to that” she closed the door as she walked out.

After she came out of the restroom and got dressed she decided to go explore the institute. She walked around the institute she decided to go outside and see the garden she had seen through her bedroom window. Now that she was standing outside in front of the garden it looked so much beautiful. This roses in front of her were the biggest roses she had ever seen they were simply perfect as she kept on walking deeper and deeper into the garden the roses got more beautiful and more perfect.

“Aren’t they just beautiful?” she heard a voice behind her

“Yeah” she turned around and to her surprise it was Jared

“Come I need to show you something” he started to walk away

They walked back into the house and down a hall she had not seen before. The hall took them to a library. This was the biggest library Lexi had ever seen especially for an institute. She tried to read the name of the books as she passed them. Until they finally got to an opening, there was a man sitting on a chair overlooking something on the table.

“Joseph she is here” Jared walked up to the man and sat across from him and patted the seat next to him so that Lexi could sit there.

Once she sat down Joseph looked up at her and put what he was studying away.

“You look just like your father, but we are not here to talk about that, okay I’m going to have to tell you everything you were suppose to learn in a year in about an hour ready?” he leaned on the desk looking at Lexi waiting for a respond

“Sure” she said

“Okay here we go, oh and please no interruption until I’m done, okay you are a nephilim, half angel and half human everyone in this institute is”

Lexi looked at Jared but he was too busy looking at a book.

“Long time ago the fallen angels decided to made a race of half-breads, we are basically humans with super strength, hearing, and other powers. We were made to fight of demons, later in time we realized that not all vampires, werewolves, sirens, and other mystical creatures did not always harm people and we could leave in arrangement with them, so ever since them we have and we continue to” he took a drink of his drink and then went bak to sit down

“Know I could continue to tell you all of this and bore you for another two hours or you could see it yourself, Jared why don’t you take her to the underworld and show her?” he got up and away.

Jared got up and Lexi followed him she could be arrogant and refuse to go, but she decided to be opened minded and listen to what they said or were going to show her.
