Chapter 26

Lexi was woken up by a knock on the door. She opened her eyes and looked around. She got up and went to open the door.

“Ahhh!” she screamed

“You okay?” Jared asked with a confused look on his face.

“You were suppose to be a dream, nothing of this is supposed to be real” she told him

“Sorry but it wasn’t a dream now come on I have a surprise for you” Jared told her and walked away

“Fine” she followed him

“Can you tell me?” she asked

“No cause then it won’t be a surprise” he told her

“One hint” she continued

“No” he repeated

“Please” she said with a really sweet voice

“Nope” he refused

“Fine then hurry up” she told him

“Okay you ready?” he asked

“Yea” she said

“You sure cause you can only see it if you are truly ready?” he asked

“Of course I’m ready” she was frustrated

“Really?” she asked again

“Yes now show me” she yelled

“Fine come on” he led her to the dining room. In the table was a round cake.

“Surprise” Noah and Roxie yelled in unison as they saw her. They sat around the table waiting for her. Jared stood next to a chair he had pulled out and signaled her to sit down. She moved over to where Jared was at and sat down on the chair he had pulled out for her. AS soon as she sat down Jared pushed her closer to the table.

“Happy birthday, you thought I really forgot when you told Azamba?” Jared asked as he took a seat next to him.

“Thank you” she told them all

“hurry and make a wish I do prefer to eat cake without candle wax on it this morning” Noah teased. She closed her eyes and was about to make a wish.

“I don’t know what to wish for?” she told them, her old wish had sort of came true. She saw her father again, but he did try to kill her.

“What did you normally wish for?” Roxie asked

“”Don’t wish for what you used to wish for, wish for something you really want now” Jared told her

“Anytime now will be okay you know just putting out there” Noah told her. She closed her eyes and made her wish. Once she opened them she blew out her candles.

“Want to make the first cut?” Roxie offered her the knife

“No it’s okay I need to go get change” Lexi said getting up from the chair.

“But why will you change out of the shorts, it’s hot?” Roxie asked confused

“Cause this are my pajamas I’m going to change into different shorts” Lexi explained

“Oh, by any chance do you have a pair of shorts I can borrow?” Roxie asked

“Yea, I’ll bring you some when I come back down” Lexi said and began to walk up to her room.

“Lexi wait up” She heard Jared’s voices a few feet behind her. She turned around to see him walking behind her. She waited for him to catch up before she began to walk again.
