Chapter 12

Lexi felt like an armor shop walking around with all the blades, “do we really need to carry all this blades?” she asked Roxie

“Yes, its protocol” Roxie informed her

Another tutor was killed and Noah, Jared, and Roxie were sent to investigate. Leo had told them to take Lexi along so she could get experience.

Once they arrived at the scene she saw Jared and Noah leaning over a body. As she was walking toward them she saw a man coming and he walk right in front of them as if he could not see them, he didn’t even stop to see what had happened it was weird ever since she remember humans were very intrusive.

“Why didn’t the man stop to see what was going on?” Lexi asked confused

“Didn’t Jared tell you humans can’t see us, we are invisible for them” Roxie told her

“So what kind of demon did this?” Lexi asked as she went to stand next to Jared

“We don’t know it might be a new one” Noah informed them

“Were do they even come from?” Lexi wondered

“There are portals in the Forbidden Forrest and the Forbidden Valley, no nephilim that has ever been there found it or if they do find it they never make it out” Noh informed her

“So fill us up” Roxie said inspecting the body

“He was bitten by some unknown creature” Jared filled them up as he reached for the bottom of the shirt to pick it up and show them the bite mark on the right side of the man

Lexi bent down to see the pattern of the teeth marks, and then everything went black. She saw the tutor he was alive and he was running he was screaming for help but nobody heard or saw him. He was running away from a huge green half-human half-serpent. It had a pair of huge yellow horns, razor-sharp teeth, he was nose-less he just had nostrils, with a pair of huge red eyes, he had humongous hands and at the end of each finger long sharp nails, and on his left hand he had a golden bracelet. The tutor kept on running, he ran for five more blocks then he turned left and unfortunately he ran up to a dead end. He was being cornered by the serpent man; the serpent man struck and bit his left side. All of the sudden the serpent man screamed and Lexi saw a sword on the serpents back. A watcher had helped him, the watcher fought the serpent and the tutor took that time to run away. He ran and ran until he came up in front of a huge building and ran in he ran up the steps three floors up until he got to his apartment. Once inside he changed shirts and got a briefcase that was on his desk and ran out again. He had barely ran two blocks when the watcher that had helped him stood in front of him. The watcher spoke in a weird language and the tutor replied in the same language. They fought and screamed at each other in a foreign language. Finally, the watcher threw him to a wall and killed him.

“Lexi” She heard Jared’s voice

When she opened her eyes she saw Roxie, Jared, and Noah looking down at her with worried faces. “You okay, thank god you gave us such a scared” Roxie said hugging her

“What happened” Lexi asked them

“You were bending down to analyze the body and then you just fell, you were out for about 20 minutes, I’m guessing it was too much for you” Jared told her helping her up

“The tutor I saw him he wasn’t killed by a demon he was killed by a watcher” Lexi told them

“Are you okay I think you hit your head pretty hard, watchers don’t kill tutors nor humans they protect them plus he has a bite mark on his left side he bled to death” Jared reassured her
