Chapter 19

“Come your highness awaits your arrival” a man told them

“Wow this is so amazing, we are in the Fay realm how cool is that?” Noah said astonished

“Yes you are now hurry up the queen doesn’t like to be kept waiting” the man told them and started to walk. As they walked to talk to the queen mystical creatures ran all around them, smelling them curiously.  Lexi was amazed at how closely the animals got, back in earth wild animals didn’t get closer than five feet. A few hundred feet away they could see a palace. It was astonishing, it was just so skeptical. After walking a few more feet Lexi realized that the palace was floating several feet in the air, it was like a floating island with a palace on it. Water fell from all around the palace. In some places some rose veins hanged almost touching the floor.

“Wow this is- I can’t find words for it” Roxie expressed

“It’s so magical here” Lexi told them

“Come on or we’ll never make it before noon” the man told them sitting on the back of a lion with wings. With one hand he was holding on to a bridle and on the other hand he was holding on two three more bridles. Jared walked up to one of the lions and petted its forehead. After a few seconds he took the bridle of the man’s hand and jumped onto the back of the lion. Noah went and did the same thing.

“Sir you think that they are safe?” Roxie asked

“Yes they are palace eglions” the man told them. Sebastian went up the last eglion and jumped on its back. Now Lexi and Roxie were the last ones standing. They now had to choose who to ride with. Roxie went up to eglion that her brother was on and jumped on behind Noah.

“You positive they are safe?” Lexi asked still not trusting the eglions

“Come on Lexi stop being a scary cat it’s not so bad” Jared told her holding a hand out to her. She took his hand and was pulled up. Now sitting on top of the eglion it didn’t seem like such a bad idea it felt kind of safe. Lexi wrapped her legs around the eglion well as much as her feet could cope. She could feel the eglion’s blood rushing under its skin. It felt amazing it was warm and soft.

“Now is it so bad?” Jared asked her

“No” she told him sheepish. The eglion began to move under the command of Jared. Lexi wrapped her arms around his waist so she won’t fall. Now she wished that Roxie had not been scared of this magnificent creature so she would get her own eglion and she could have ridden with her instead of Jared. She could feel his hard abs under his shirt, she could smell cologne and after shave on him. This was not helping her situation of her trying to think of him only as a friend and a brother she never had.

After a few minutes all the eglions stretched their wings and started to flap them. Not long after they were several feet in the air flying. The air felt wonderful the way it wrapped itself around them and they way it massaged their hair. Not long after they began to descend, and once again they were on firm land. Well not technically firm since they were in the floating island. Lexi jumped off the eglion happy she didn’t have to be near him so close, repeating in her head over and over again that he had a girlfriend.

“Come on hurry” the man told them and began to speed walk toward the palace. Inside it was huge with plants all over. There were lots of butterflies flapping their wings making a joyful noise. All the way on the other side of the room there was a red loveseat sofa and the queen sat on it. She was told with green cat-like eyes; she had beautiful light brown hair, on top of her head a golden crown with flower designs sat. She was wearing a long golden gown that complemented her fair skin. She was truly beautiful.

“Thank you Almazair” she told the man that had brought them. Once the queen tanked her he vowed and left the room.

“I thought I said only the guardian was to be let into my realm?” the queen asked sharply
