Chapter 29
PART 4
Twon's Perspective
"What's living without sunshine and dark skies combined?"-Unknown

I placed the gold chain around my black turtle neck before smoothing out the small amount of stubble around my face with a wooden brush. Tonight I was having a small get together at my apartment in celebration of being completely done at the facility. I had been stressed for a while, and now hopefully I could finally return back to my regular job after receiving my recommendation. I needed some time to take my mind off of reality for a little bit, and tonight was just the night to do it.
In the midst of observing myself one last time in the mirror, I heard loud ass noises at the front of the apartment. I quickly rushed out of the bathroom racing up the hall to hear the sound more clearly. Repetitive knocks sounded off back and forth at my front door in a rhythmic form. I unlocked the door throwing it open in an angry manner.
Andre and Owen stood there with various bottles of liquor in their hands with childish grins on their faces.
"Man yall play too fuckin' much, bangin' on my shit like twelve."
Owen chuckled coming inside as Andre followed closing the door after him.
"Chill yo horses nigga, you should've opened that bitch faster." Andre joked.
They both laughed hysterically sitting the alcohol on my kitchen table.
"Yall niggas goofy as fuck." I replied heading down the hallway back into the bathroom to finish getting ready.
These niggas were ready to kill each other over a few exchanged words last month and now they were the best of fucking friends again, although alcohol might've influenced their moods towards each other as well. I could tell that they were already a little buzzed based on their attitudes.
I finished getting ready turning off my bathroom light. The only thing that was left to do was to set up before everybody else got here.
"Why you niggas here so early anyway?" I asked touching up my living room space.
"I just wanted to see what you had in yo fridge," Andre replied going into the kitchen.
I shook my head glancing over at Owen for his response. He shrugged his shoulders looking down at his phone.
I knew the real reason he was over here so early. The nigga had been hanging around everybody like a lost puppy or some shit since the breakup with Tiana. I was trying to be supportive and shit but I was kind of getting tired of this nigga showing up to my place to play 2K on his off days for the entire day when we both have to go to work early the next morning. Sixty told me he had been hanging around her a lot more often too, picking her up from classes and shit. I know the change from a relationship back to single life again can be challenging, but this shit was getting out of hand.
"Well since yall here early do me a favor and help me finish cleanin' up."
"Nigga we guests, that's fucked up," Andre said fixing himself a bowl of cereal.
