"If you don't see the book you want on the shelf, write it."
A message from Kelis
I remember the day February 17th, 2020 like it was yesterday. I was sent home from my first semester of college because of a deadly pandemic that put the entire United States on lockdown. There was nothing to do, so to avoid boredom I decided to read, on Wattpad to be exact. However, few books fit my interest.
Like a struck of lighting the idea of creating my own novel came to me and each idea followed one after another. That day on a piece of paper I jotted down the outline of Epiphany and a week later after developing characters and storylines, I began typing up the story on Microsoft word before transitioning to the Wattpad platform.
When I first had the idea to tell this story I felt as if I didn't have the potential in me to create an entire body of work, but it has turned into a novel that I am exceedingly proud of. These works did not happen within the course of one night, a couple of weeks, or even a few months. Completing these two novels was a process filled with many long hours of writing and editing that took well over a year. I experienced writer's block countless times and there were moments where I wanted to give up on these novels because of a busy schedule and not having the inspiration in me to do so, but I pushed through it.
Thank you to every active reader and supporter. I hope that you have enjoyed these characters and these novels as well.
Although I am taking this time to commemorate the Epiphany series I would also like to celebrate a few of my favorite writers on Wattpad who have inspired and encouraged me in the past. Such as my absolute favorite writer KaeMarj and a few others including Wheadee, DiaTheLit, Jlnovelty, and many others.
There are so many ideas that I have up ahead and I can't wait to share them with you all.
Make sure to stay on the lookout! Goodbye for now.
