Owen's Perspective

I signed a significant document placing it in the file cabinet closest to me. After a whole day of mostly dealing with upset customers and organizing plenty of random papers, I was ready to head home.
I was drained of energy and the incident with Tiana the other night stayed on my mind constantly, was this a game to her? She stayed on my mind so much that I could barely enjoy or celebrate my new promotion.
We needed to talk, she couldn't just use me to fulfill her sexual needs then push me away like a stranger. Every time I had the opportunity to talk with her today during her shift, she either ignored me or quickly went in the opposite direction. I just gave up entirely, there was only so much chasing a man could do.
I stood up from my chair deciding to clock out for the day since my shift would soon be over anyway. As I left my office closing the door behind me Andre walked up to me.
"You bout to head out man?"
"Hell yeah man, today ain't my day."
"I feel you on that."
We dapped each other up before I exited the facility through the outdoor garage. Today felt like a good day to talk with my sister, I hadn't heard from her in a while. I planned to check up on her after taking a shower and a quick nap, but my plans shifted when I made my way to my apartment from work.
As I was pulling up into my driveway, I noticed Faith's car parked out front. She stood up beside her car door leaning against it with her arms crossed looking completely lost in her thoughts. I turned my engine off jumping out of the truck walking over to where she stood.
"What's good Faith, what you doin' over here?"
Since Faith and Monica had gotten married it was rare for her to come and visit me, which I didn't mind because we all had other things going on in life, but for her to pop up unannounced was puzzling.
"I came to talk to you, I hope you don't mind me showing up without calling first."
"Nah, you straight."
I toyed with the keys in my hand walking towards my front door as she followed behind.
"Okay good... thank you. I figured you'd be getting off soon so I wanted to catch you before you had settled down for the day."
"Yeah, no problem."
Her vibe seemed off and something was up I could tell. Whatever she had to talk with me about was important but I wouldn't pride... not yet anyway.
We entered my apartment. I closed the front door behind us as she sat her gray shoulder purse down on my kitchen island. While I went into the kitchen to grab a beer she sat in the living room in a tense manner. She was so quiet that she was started to scare me.
I came back into the living room sitting down next to her after popping open my beverage and taking a sip.
"So what's up?"
