❸❾ Your time is up

For the rest of the time we had to rest me and Reno cuddled up on the roof of the train cart as I sat curled up in his lap, quick soft kisses would be exchanged every time we made eye contact causing me to giggle like a school girl. However, that sweet moment we shared soon had to come to an end as Cloud shouted up at us ready to set back out on the path but our smiles didn't fade as we jumped down to the ground to meet the Merc and florist his hand in mine.

"There you two are" Aerith giggled smiling softly as she noticed the obvious blushes still on our cheeks and Reno's blazer on me that I now wore properly

"Thought we had run off huh?" Reno chuckled his thumb gently tracing my smaller hand

Aerith nodded and she giggled again as she then started to lead the group through the seemingly never ending maze of abandoned trains and carts Cloud walking close to her side, as we continued to walk Reno kept his tight hold on my hand the leather of his gloves brushing against my soft skin as he gently held my hand tighter whether there was a sudden noise close or in the distance. As we continued to walk sector 7 soon came into view in the distance, I sighed softly as we had not encountered the ghostly woman again my last bit of hope of finding my mother slowly wearing thin. I felt Reno hold my hand tighter as we slowly came to a very open area, trains surrounded it in a circle like formation and the same ghostly sparkles like before seemed to appear very common within this area.

"Be careful" Cloud said softly to us all to which we nodded

We all then walked into the open area staying close to each other as we all watched our backs, I gently squeezed Reno's hand as I heard a giggle behind us closing my eyes tight as I then opened them gasping as three ghouls appeared infront of us. Me, Cloud and Reno pulled out our weapons however, Aerith held a hand out to the three of us as she then stepped infront holding her hands together as she looked up at the ghouls her eyes sparkling. We stood there in slight confusion but stayed quiet not wanting to disturb Aerith from whatever she was doing, she gasped slightly and took a step back looking over her shoulder at me

"They want you to meet someone, Y/N?" She said softly

"I.... why me?" I said softly shaking my head slightly as I took a step back Reno protectively stepping infront of me slightly

Aerith shrugged and she shook her head slowly placing her hands to her side as she then looked back up at the ghouls "I'm not quite sure"

The ghouls giggled and danced around slightly, a loud screech was when heard as the ghouls the flew at Reno shoving him out the way from me. Reno stumbled back and my eyes widened as I was picked up in some sort of whine from the ghouls

"Reno!" I yelled reaching my hand out to him

"Y/N!!" Reno yelled back going to grab my hand but before he could I disappeared along with the ghouls

I whimpered slightly as the wind felt blistering cold against my body, the hand that I had reached out to my lover shook as I brought it close. I slowly curled up within the wind before I was put down on the floor sitting up quickly, my eyes scanned the area a thick mist surrounding me. I turned my head quickly as I heard giggling which then surrounded me until it completely stopped and everything fell silent, I slowly stood up stumbling slightly but I was caught by my arm by a cold hand. I looked at the hand and then slowly looked up at the owner of it my eyes widening as I noticed the familiar ghostly woman stood before me

"It's you" I said softly

The woman slowly let go of my arm and took a few steps back as If she couldn't believe who she was seeing either, giggles surrounded her but she held a hand up which caused them to then fall silent
