Reno X Reader- Training grounds

❶⓪ Feather

Once me and Reno got back to his room the sun was starting to set, I smiled as I watched it from one of the big windows in his room. I crossed my arms seeming to have forgotten about the pain in my leg from the gun shot earlier

"The view is something huh" Reno said just behind my shoulder

I nodded and sighed softly "if only it wasn't all being destroyed by Shinra"

Reno sighed and he crossed his arms sitting down on his bed "There's nothing anyone can do about that"

I nodded again kicking the floor slightly "I know"

Reno nodded and he flopped down onto his bed sighing "Maybe you should go and take a shower..... clean your wound out more"

I turned to him and nodded "Yeah.... that sounds like a good idea"

Reno nodded and he pointed to a door just at the side of his bed "Bathroom is in there, take your time"

I nodded and smiled slightly walking into the bathroom shutting and locking the door behind me, I sighed softly and rubbed my face his bathroom was simple with a white, black and grey colour scheme with some red pops of colour in places. I put down some bath matts and then turned the shower, I quickly pulled the curtain shut and opened a little window in the bathroom for ventilation and then I quickly got undressed and stepped into the shower letting out a soft sigh as the warm water hit my aching body.

I slowly closed my eyes and smiled as I just enjoyed this long needed shower, the water trickled down my body and over my wound stinging it slightly but I just sucked it up knowing this was doing me some good

Once I had washed myself I slowly turned off the shower shivering as the cold air came in from the window, I stepped out the shower and blushed as I grabbed a towel on the side. It smelt very fresh so I just took a deep breath and dried my body with It after drying my hair first. Once I was dry I quickly put my clothes back on and stretched feeling a lot more energised and fresh now, I put the bath matts back where they were at first and I also pulled the shower curtain back nodding to myself once I was done

I walked to the door and unlocked it, when I opened it Reno was nowhere to be seen. I raised an eyebrow and slowly walked into the room expecting him to jump scare me or something, I continued to tip toe finding a note stuck onto the main door. I walked up to it "Gone to a meeting, stay put" It read, I rolled my eyes and sighed crossing my arms

"Come to me, Y/N~" a deep voice echoed behind me

I quickly turned and saw a feather gently falling to the floor, I raised an eyebrow as I watched it rest against the floor. I hugged myself slightly and took a deep breath kneeling down picking the feather up, it was quite a large feather and it was a midnight black I held it up to the light slightly tilting my head as my eyes scanned it

"You are my last hope, Y/N~ I hope you will not disappoint" the voice echoed again everything seeming to go slightly static as the voice spoke

I snarled slightly gripping my hair slightly as the static continued I blinked visions flashing infront of me, I closed my eyes tight and then opened them I slowly stood up looking around me, I wasn't in Reno's room anymore but in a different part of the Shinra building

"No! No please you can't take him!!" A familiar voice cried

I turned around to see my Mother being dragged away from a large door by some shinra guards, she's kicking and screaming as she reaches out to something

"And why is that?" A voice answered my mother and soon two men came into view one being my father, he was being held close by a man as a gun was shoved to his temple

"D....dad?" I whimpered gripping my head as the static got worse

"We'll... meet again my love, the planet won't let this be our fate" My Dad said through gaspy breaths as tears ran down his cheeks

"Shut up!" The man holding my Dad growled, he had longish black hair that was in a low pony tail and he wore a lab coat and glasses "Take the woman to Don Corneo, he'll be happy with her"

"What? No! No please you can't do this!" My mother cried her voice just as soft and gentle as I remember it

I gripped my head more as the guards started to drag my mother away

"Mum!" I screamed running over to her, I went to grab her hand but mine just went straight through hers everything disappearing as I was in Reno's room once again

I looked around me panicked and confused my head pounding, the feather in my hand seemed to be trying to break free from my grasp I slowly let it go and it flew over to Reno's door the door opening at letting it go free

My jaw was dropped slightly and I quickly ran towards the door and out into the hallway I looked around seeing the feather gliding down the hall, I hesitated for a second and decided to put on my mask since I'd be out in the open on my own and then I followed it carefully, not grabbing it this time but just letting it glide.

The feather continued to glide, gliding up the stairs now to which I followed without any hesitation. My head was still pounding and the strange static seemed to surround the feather, my steps felt forced and heavy even though I still followed willingly

I eventually made it up the stairs the feather still leading me, it went through a few doors and then finally seemed to stop for a second. I contemplated if I should grab it but I didn't, soon I heard a voice and footsteps getting close to the door I quickly ran and hid behind a wall. I glanced back and saw the man I saw holding my Dad walk out, he seemed to be mumbling something to himself as he made quick pace through a door and out of sight

I took a deep breath and made my way to the door he walked out of, I opened the door and gasped as a science room was revealed. The feather I was following flew past my head and over to a shelf with thousands of different boxes which were labelled by a series of numbers

I looked up at the thousands of boxes, the feather brushed my cheek bone and then flew to a box floating by it as it then disappeared. I raised an eyebrow and walked to the box pulling it out and placing it on an empty table, I looked in to see files non of them are labelled except one of them. I swallowed the lump in my throat and slowly pulled out the file and on the front it read

My fathers name.
