It seemed like we had been walking for days, Wall Market seemed to get no closer with every monster we ran into but eventually we came to the entrance. I took a deep breath as I looked into the busy town where there are no rules, my heart racing along with the loud music that seemed to follow us.
"We all ready?" Cloud asked looking over his shoulder at me and Aerith
"Ofcourse" Aerith nodded and she smiled softly as she gently took my hand
I nodded and took another deep breath as we started to walk into the busy crowds, colourful lights and loud people surrounded us as we pushed past. I had explained to Cloud and Aerith that I wanted to ask The Don some questions but wasn't specific about it, I've already dragged them into something best not to let them get in too deep.
We walked through Wall market me and Aerith following the mercenary as we made our way towards Corneo's mansion, my palms felt sweaty as we got closer and closer some people on the streets letting their eyes linger too long on the three of us.
We soon came to some steps, stopping just at the bottom of them as we could see the tip of a roof right at the top. I took a deep and stood infront of Cloud holding a hand out infront of his face
"I'll go first, I'm the one who wants to talk to him" I said softly
Cloud nodded and he crossed his arms as he looked at Aerith who also nodded smiling softly.
I nodded slightly and slowly clenched my fists as I started to walk towards Corneo's mansion, we passed the fighting arena and a weapons shop that I noted that was there for later. Once we came to the top of the stairs a bridge with a large mansion at the other end of it was revealed to us
"I think we found our man.... and he's a gaudy one" Aerith said softly as she looked up at the mansion
Cloud nodded and he chuckled very slightly as he started to walk towards the doors with me and Aerith following close behind, Cloud looked at us and we nodded he then pushed open the doors and walked in.
I took a deep breath as I followed but froze as I noticed three men stood just on the other side of the room
"Shit" I mumbled
The Merc rolled his eyes slightly and he started to walk up to the men but I grabbed his arm and pulled him back glaring at him, Cloud sighed and nodded taking his arm back as he crossed his arms
I took a deep breath and walked up to the men as confidently as I could
"Woah hold up lady, what's your business here huh?" A man with white hair and a hat said holding his hand out to stop me
"I need to speak with Don Corneo" I glared at him slightly clenching my fists
"Ah well..... I'm sorry but not just anyone can walk through these doors" The man sighed shaking his head
"We weren't asking for permission" Cloud butted in grabbing the handle of his sword
"I wouldn't if I was you, your in the Don's world now..... if you cause trouble he'll make sure someone pays and that someone could be anyone" Leslie said softly crossing his arms
Cloud sighed and he left his sword on his back looking at me, I sighed and clenched my fists more stepping closer to Leslie "Please... can't I just go in? I won't cause any trouble"
"Look.... if you wanna get in you need to get into the next audition..... but... I wouldn't if I was you" Leslie sighed dropping his head slightly as he kicked at the ground
"Audition?" Aerith said softly
"Yeah.... audition.... The Don is one of the most eligible bachelors in all of wall market, if you want to get in you need to be up for never leaving his side again" Leslie sighed
"Sounds easy enough...... how do we get into these auditions?" Aerith said softly smiling as she stayed close to Cloud
"You'll need to talk to one of the trio, they're scattered around wall market..... I'm sure one of them will be able to get you into the audition, you'll need to look for Chocobo Sam, Madam M and Andrea Rhodes...but..... not just any simple girl will meet the Don's tastes" Leslie shook his head placing a hand on her hip
"Huh I dunno Les.... she looks kind fine...... homely..... but fine" One of the men beside him spoke up making me cringe as he looked Aerith up and down
"Yeah man, with a bit of work she'd be perfect" the other one spoke up smirking slightly
Aerith slowly clenched her fists as she glared at Corneo's lackeys "Cloud..... permission to kill"
"Denied" Cloud sighed crossing his arms
"This is bullshit" I growled huffing as I stormed back outside
Aerith and Cloud quickly followed "So..... we find the trio?" Aerith said softly
I nodded "We'll get into that audition....... we have to...."
"Right" Aerith nodded and she smiled as she slowly unclenched her fists walking along side me as Cloud followed a few steps behind
"First stop..... Chocobo Sam" I nodded as we started to make our way towards his place
