Reno X Reader- Training grounds

❶❻ Plan A

I gasped as I woke up sitting up quickly, my breathing was fast as my eyes scanned the new room around me. It felt like a cell with no windows and the only colour in the room was some sort of mural on the wall, I felt a hand place itself on my shoulder and I screamed slightly

"Hey, yo.... it's only me" I heard the familiar voice of Reno say

I quickly turned my head to the direction of his voice and I teared up "I..... is it really you?"

Reno raised an eyebrow and he looked down at himself and then back up at me "Uh.... the one and only?"

I chuckled slightly and flung myself into his arms hugging him tightly to which he returned the hug just as tight

"W...where am I? How did you?"

"I have my ways.... I've worked for Shinra long enough to know how crappy their technology is once you add some sparks" he smirks looking at his electric staff that was rested against the wall

"Huh... of course" I nodded finding myself clinging to him as I took deep breaths to clam myself

"Hey..... I'm gonna get you out of here" Reno said softly and he slowly rubbed my back

I sighed and shook my head "Please...... don't"

"What? Why not?" He furrowed his eyebrows

"It's too dangerous" I sighed again

"Huh.... not with Rude and Tseng's help it isn't" he smirked smugly

"I- wait what..... Tseng is willing to help?" I said in disbelief

"Mhm" Reno nodded and he chuckled slightly "being annoying comes in handy sometimes"

I nodded and chuckled slightly curling up more

"You weren't suppose to agree" Reno pouted playfully

"Oh... but it wouldn't be nice to lie to you would it?" I smirked slightly

"You know.... I don't have to save your ass" Reno teased

"You better!" I playfully shoved him

He chuckled and shoved me back, he then stood up stretching "We don't have much time..... we have until they repair the holding cell.... which won't take long"

"Wait.... so Hojo knows I'm in here?!" I said panicked

Reno sighed and he nodded "afraid so.... it would've been way too risky to take you"

I also sighed and shook my head "there's no point...... this is my fault..... I deserve this"

"Huh?" Reno looked at me his eyes softening as he saw tears start to trickle down my face, he gently placed a hand on my back sitting down next to me "ofcourse there's a point.... you need help Y/N, I'm not going to let you be treated like a number.... like an animal"

"It's my destiny" I said so soft it was almost a whisper

Reno's eyes widened and he furrowed his eyebrows shaking his head, he stood up and pulled his phone out of his pocket pressing the screen a few times before putting the phone to his ear "Hey...... uh Tseng..... you know that plan..... yeah can we do it like now?"

I looked up at Reno "What are you doing?" I sighed

Reno looked at me and he gently placed a finger to his lip as he kept the phone to his ear, he then put his hand in his trouser pocket and nodded and Tseng said something through the phone "Yeah.... I'm with Y/N" Reno responded

I shook my head and flopped back  onto the bed rubbing my face as tears stung my eyes, Reno eventually ended the call and he held a hand out to me
