Chapter 21

Hugo's POV
"So did you do it? Did you tell her?" said Axel as he walk into my room while I was getting ready for school

"No" I said as I face him "She likes Daxton remember?"

Axel then rolled his eyes as he place his hand around my shoulder "Dreams are weird okay, dreams doesn't make any sense"

"Make her like you then, change her liking towards you" said Axel

"What?" I asked as I push his hand away

"She's not with Daxton yet isn't she? So just change her mind" said Axel "Make some more moves baby bro" he then ruffled my hair

I wish things were that easy, I just don't want to make her uncomfortable. Like the kiss yesterday, ugh why did even do that?

Corinthians sports school
Fuck, I can't even face her properly. That action just make things even worst, why didn't I think this through? At least we are having our exams today right?

I then put my bag into my locker as I close its door with a sigh

"Hey Hugo" said Sofia with that cute innocent smile of hers

"Hey" I replied as I lean onto my locker's door

Why is her smile that innocent and her tiny little height. I just wanna hug her all day long and maybe even snuggle up together while watching some- damn why am I even thinking about this

"Hugo are you listening?" asked Sofia as she wave her hand

"Yea, yeah?" I said as I look at her

"So as I was saying, do you wanna go to the library after school?" asked Sofia

"Wait- just the two of us?" I asked trying to sound normal

"Yea, just the two of us" said Sofia with a smile "Eleanor has fencing practice after school while Daxton he has some kingdom duties to fulfil"

Alone with Sofia in the library huh? I guess this is my chance then, no matter how hard it is to face her after that situation, I have to make some moves.

"Is there a problem?" asked Sofia "You keep on zoning out"

"No I'm good with the idea" I said with a smile "See you later princess" I then walk to my class as I'll be taking the exam

And here we are in the library- together- alone-

"Here's the book" said Eleanor as she place it on the table

Well not now- only when she's gone then we'll be alone

"Thanks" said Sofia as she flip the book open

"So... What are you both gonna do?" said Eleanor as she took a seat

"Aren't you having fencing now?" I asked

"I see... pushing me away already-" said Eleanor with a smirk on her face while Sofia is looking at me

"Shut up already-" I said as I rolled my eyes

"You just have to say the word" said Eleanor as she got up "Well I'm off to practice now"

With a brain like Sofia, she could already figure out that I like her.

"Are you that willing just to spend time with me" said Sofia with her arms fold and a smirk plastered on her face

"Well tell me then, how long have we been spending time alone together?" I asked as I also fold my arms

"Well-"

"Because you're scared" said someone as I scan around the library

"The fuck Eleanor, why do you gotta make situations awkward" I said as I spotted her behind a bookshelf

She then raise her hand up as she walk out from her spot as she gave me a thumbs up before leaving the library

"Well that was something-" said Sofia as she raise her eyebrow

"Let's just- let's just study" I said as I flip my book open

As time goes by, I always find myself staring at her. I couldn't resist the way she looks when she's concentrating on something, that long curly auburn hair of hers shine brightly under the light.

My mind kept on telling me to continuing with the studies but my eyes are the problem, they couldn't look away.

My hands then slowly reach out to her hair as I tuck her hair behind her ear making her looking at me with a smile

That smile of hers is always that soft, lovely and it could even light up the darkest room, I don't know how she does it but my heart always went crazy for it. Whenever I'm feeling down or being my emo self, her smile would always light up my day and make me feel at ease.

"Enjoying my face aren't we" said Sofia as she gave me a smirk

"Maybe" I said with a playful tone as I took her scrunchie from her wrist

"Hey that's mine-"

"Just turn around" I said as she then turn around with her back facing me

"Are you gonna stick a tortoise paper behind my back? " said Sofia

I ignore her question as I then held her long curly auburn hair up as I tie it into a low ponytail

"There" I said as she turn back around

She then took her hand to reach her back to feel for some pranks that I might pull onto her

"There's nothing" I said as I rolled my eyes playfully

She then gave me an 'I' m watching you' hand sign as she then push her book towards me

"Here, can you help me with this" she then pointed at the question

And of course I started explaining that topic to her as she makes all those facial expression. There's this one expression which makes my face burn up until I couldn't speak properly. I was explaining the history topic about Ekrucrusian Revolution, her mouth went into an O shape as her eyes are wide open with the 'oooo' sound as she then lift up her face to look at me with that wide smile of hers

"Fuck-" I said softly as I turn away quickly

"Something wrong?" asked Sofia

"No- nothing, excuse me I have to go to the washroom" I said as I got up

She then nodded her head as I then left the library. Dammit heart, what do you have to beat so fast?

My hands were then place on my chest as I still felt the my heart racing as fast as it could. She has already killed my heart, I don't know what do.

What if she likes Daxton? How could I ever let her go?

I then shook my head as I went to the washroom to wash my hands. I lift up my head as I saw my reflection in the mirror. How does Sofia feel after all those things I've done? How I wish I was in her mind now.
