Sofia's POV

Two and a half months went by and soon came the day to begin our university life. Once I had my breakfast, Amber, James and I were then sent off to our new school that is located on an island. I can't wait to start my university life with my friends, especially those from RPA. It has already been 5 years since we were all under the same building.

"Sofia, does this mean we are going to officially meet your boyfriend?" asked Amber while touching up her hair with a small round pocket mirror. "You didn't even bring him over during the holidays,  you can't hide him forever, you know," she continued.

"I'm still not fond of you having a boyfriend," James folded his arms.

I totally forgotten about them not meeting Daxton yet. I would be lying if I say that I am not nervous at all. How can I not be nervous when my family wants to meet my boyfriend?

Soon, we finally arrived in front of the arrival port on the island. The only island that allows only its university students to enter, except on special occasions. There are shuttle bus services for us to travel around the campus, it even runs on magic.

"I can't wait to shop around here!" exclaimed Amber with excitement as she got onto the bus.

As we go around the university, there are lots of shops, buildings and even the field was filled with lots of students too! Suddenly, the school shuttle bus stopped right in front of a huge building right in the middle of the rest of the buildings, which I am certain is the main hall of the university.

A huge banner was placed right above the huge doors of the building, writing 'Welcome First Years!' There were a few students standing outside directing the first years on where to go. The three of us walk forward to them while one of them pointed at a table with a number 7.

"Please go to table number 7," the guy pointed out. "Your attendance will be taken right there, then head to the auditorium on the second floor."

We took our attendance and received a tag to wear over our neck, with our name and courses printed on top. As we walked to the auditorium on the second floor, we bumped into some old friends of ours. There was Hildegard, Zandar, Cleo and Desmond circling around each other.

"Hildy! Cleo!" Amber waved as she raced across the room. Her voice caught the attention of the four.

"Amber." said Hildegard with a smile, fanning herself.

I take a look around our surrounding, found out there weren't many students gathering right outside the auditorium. "By the way, aren't you guys going in?" I asked. "We've been standing here chatting for quite some time already."

"The opening ceremony doesn't start 'till 10 a.m." answered Cleo. I switched on my phone finding out that we still have more than 30 minutes to spare.

As the time passed by, we met tons of our old friends and those people who we recently met. Talking to the others are refreshing, since we haven't been able to see each other for a long time. It's nice to catch up on stuff. Suddenly, someone grabbed me from the back, whispering in my ear.

"Happy 2 months and a half anniversary." Daxton whispered softly.

I gave him a smile, giving a push out from his embrace. "Stop it, they're looking," I tried hiding my embarrassment. The rest were stunned, only Eleanor, who knows everything, had a grin plastered onto her face.

None of them knew how Daxton looked like nor know that I recently started dating him, with the exception of Amber and James, who knew about me dating. It could be quite a shock to them since Daxton's arrival was quite unexpected.

"Sorry for being rude," said Daxton with an awkward smile. He slowly bowed down towards my friends. "My name is Daxton."

Hildegard then glanced towards me, "Did you get a boyfriend during high school?" she shut her fan.

This question caught me off guard, I never expected any of them to notice it this quickly. Was it that obvious?

"Why would you ask that?" I questioned her, plastering an awkward smile. The atmosphere became tense. Daxton looked uncomfortable, as was I.

"I thought you would end up with Hugo," Cleo said, with that round innocent eyes of hers "It did seem like you two had a connection during our ice dancing recital."

"Cleo, you don't say that in front of the boyfriend," Vivian nudged Cleo on the elbow, even with Vivian's whispers I could still hear some faint words coming out from her mouth. Cleo let out a soft gasp as she tried to correct her previous sentence.

Someone unexpectedly walked towards us from the direction of my blind spot, "You've got it wrong then," he replied, it was Hugo. He then gave me the side eye before he continued "Connections as friends, you mean? That, yes."

Daxton's fingers intertwined with mine as he pulled me closer to him. I could sense his mouth is right around my ear, "Do you want to take a stroll?" he whispered in a soft and calming tone which leaves my face bright red.

"We get it that the both of you are in love," said Amber with her fingers running through her hair, most probably annoyed at the sight. "You don't have to keep whispering to each other."

"I'll just go then, if you please excuse us." I chuckle, pulling Daxton's hand as we walk further away from the group.

Now there is no one in sight, just the two of us. A warm smile is forms onto his face, his right hand slowly touches my cheeks. I notice that his body is slowly leaning forward, to my response I too took my time to shut my eyes slowly. The next thing I know his soft yet warm lips are placed on my cheek.

" I love you," Daxton whispered again,  and this time I could really feel my ears are burning.

"Let me return my word in action," I said, pushing him back a little, I tip toe to reach his cheeks as well. "They say actions speak louder than words."

I was actually planning on kissing his cheek back in return, instead of the cheek, Daxton caught me by surprise with his lips placing onto mine. It feels nice.

"Actions do speak louder than words." I hear him say in a raspy tone.

"How sly."
