Chapter 38

Sofia's POV
The next day, I then met up with Hugo and Desmond right outside of the Royal library. I hope that we might be able to find this crest in this humongous library

A sparkly library full of chandelier, spacious, even the ceiling is covered with painting of every well known artist from every single kingdom.

Any ancient books are all kept in this specific library from diary's of historical Kings and queen's to mordenise ruling 101.

"I remembered a book my mother usually tells me about" said Hugo, unlocking a room door which leads to a study area. "It's about the crest of every kingdom, well they do have a story behind it"

That's great news, we might get the anwser even sooner than expected. Hugo excuses himself out of the room to search for that book followed by Desmond who was already immerse by each book that the library holds.

Me on the other hand, I went into the aisle where Hugo turn into. This is indeed a large library, at least a 3 level story building which is filled with book in every conner you turn.

With a turn, not far from the study room, I spotted Hugo standing on a ladder as he scans through the book's title.

"Do you need any help?" I asked with an unknowingly tone. He took a look at me with a cruve on the edge of his lips

"Well if you insist, you could start from that side of the shelf" He pointed to a shelf which is three shelf away from his.

I nodded my head in response of no problem. Standing in front of that tall bookshelf, I hesitated on whether searching from the top to the bottom or the other way around.

But seeing this many books lying neatly in front of me, I couldn't help but a sign of laziness came over me. Even so, for the sake of knowing where the crest belongs to, I got to work hard

This school don't really have much students, it's not like a public school where thousands of students gathered in a building. For me, I don't really know each and every student who attend CSS

As I search from shelf to shelf, I've finally found a book that might be the one Hugo was referring too.

"I think I found it!" I said as I tried pulling the book out from a thight spot. Without realising the unstableness of the ladder, the ladder soon fall backwards with me collapsing down with the book I pulled

Neither feeling a hard cold floor or a pain in the backside of mine, but a warm and masculine body surround me. Knowing that it's Hugo, I quickly get down from his grip, picking up the book that was on the floor

"Thank you" a slight embarrassment slowly run through my body.

"You're lucky I was just behind you" he said with a tiny flushed pink cheeks that isn't very visible "Be careful next time, I might not be the one there to safe you"

I shrugged the situation off from my mind as quickly as possible, preventing myself from my embarrassing actions. I then shoved the dust off the book with my hand, as I passed it into Hugo's hand

"This is it" he started flipping the pages of the book "It's this book"

Without wasting any time, we quickly head back to the room. Desmond was also back from his book hunting with two books laying in front of him

"Hey, I found these two, it might have the answer too" Desmond look up giving us a smile

Hugo took a sit as he shove the book to Desmond "Here's the book I've been talking about, it might also include those answers she wants"

Gazing through pages by pages, we finally found something similar to that crest from the umbrella. But there's something different to it, just an addition of a knight in a suit of armour.

My mind was soon at ease when I saw where the crest was from. Landosy. Daxton's kingdom.

But I wasn't sure of it, the crest that was on umbrella handle doesn't have a knight in a suit of armour. Maybe they'd change their crest?

"Well maybe they redesign it?" Hugo said looking at me while pointing a some numbers "This was in 1867, it may be his. It has been more than 2 centuries "

I'm actually quite surprised that he had the same thinking as me.

With Hugo's statement, the candle of hope within me was lighting brightly as ever. I may have some high hopes for this crest to belong to Landosy

Still, there's a tiny part of me doubting this statement. Well I can't be 100 percent sure it belongs to Landosy, so to be prepare for this 'not Daxton's umbrella', I rather play it safe by not confronting this to him

"It might be" said Desmond, looking at the picture of the crest "There might be a chance that they did redesign it, because most royal family don't redesign their crest that was made by our ancestors"

"That is true, the Enchancia family crest haven't been redone once" I said while resting my head on my hand

"Neither did my family" Hugo continued "So at least have some hope that this belongs to Daxton"

He is right, just that slightest chance it might be his. Hugo is just the person to say the right thing at the moment I needed the most, I'm actually glad to have him as my friend.

"Alright then, I think that's what we needed? A lead? " I said while packing my stuff. I pick out my phone from my pocket as I hang my bag onto my shoulder "I didn't know we've been here for more than an hour and a half"

"That's the fun part of studying, eventhough we are searching for stuff-" stated Desmond

"Desmond we get it" Hugo interrupted with his face lying on the table "I wanna go home, anyway is James home"

I gave him a tiny nod, as I contacted the castle to send a coach here. From what Hugo just ask, I'm very sure that Hugo wanted to visit eventhough he did said he wanted to go back home a few seconds ago.

"You wanna come too?" I turn to face Desmond "I could inform the chef to cook extra for dinner"

"So you know what I'm gonna do next huh" said Hugo still lying on the table

"I didn't just knew you since yesterday" I awnsered while my fingers are occupied "So what do you say" I then turn to Desmond

"If you don't mind, then sure" Desmond agreed

I nodded my head with as a signal of 'okay'. Until the coach arrive, the three of us walk out together. And as we were walking towards the coach, Hugo stopped in his tracks while staring onto the floor

I turn to him with a question expression on my face "Aren't you coming?"

He slowly raise his head up giving me a nod "Yeah, I'm coming"

Whatever thing or stuff he is thinking, I hope it's nothing that include about 'liking and loving'. I hate how this is kind of bothering me

(A/N: I know that it took me to update at least once a month, but I decided to update it every Sunday from now on. I know that stories shouldn't be on hold for too long, so I apologise for that. Even if I can't update it every time, I'll start updating every story of mine on every Sunday. I'm sorry for taking such a long time)
