Chapter 23

Sofia's POV
And done- That's the final paper. And now I just need to check my answers over and over again just to make sure there's no mistake or any missing answers. Once the teacher collect this paper and I'll be free

Family gathering, Paris.... I can enjoyed all of that after. Not to mention that there's one last exam before graduating, and those paper are really really important. That would prepare us for college and also finding a job. Well, let's hope this trip could be a very unforgettable one before preparing for my last high school exam

"Alright, pens down" said the teacher "No talking or getting up from your seat until I'm done collecting your papers"

And there is it, I'm free- not really though

"You're allow to leave your seats now" said the teacher as she walk back to her table

"Last paper done!" said Eleanor as she stretch her body "Paris here I come!"

"Nice" said Daxton as he walk over to the both of us

"Here are the papers for the trip to Paris" said our class president "Remember to ask your parents to sign it"

The student's then pass down the paper as each and everyone of us got one

"We are visiting historical places?" said Hugo

"We are going to Disneyland Paris!" said Eleanor with her eye wide open

"We even have a day all to ourself" I said

"And its 4 days 3 nights" said Daxton

"It's going to be awesome" I said

This trip considers as a senior's trip and I'm really looking forward to it. Well Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world, and there might be unexpected stuff that those soon to be  couple wouldn't expect at all. Well it's a senior trip so don't go around thinking people would just have sex in the middle of the night. If one of them are gonna have sex in the hotel room, that news would definitely spread like wild fire.

"Look at this" said Eleanor as she show us her phone

"What is it?" asked Hugo as he placed his tray down

"Owen just posted" Eleanor continued "He apparently is gonna take a break from the school tour"

"That's understandable" I said

"Taking a break? Does that mean he's not gonna continue with the tour anymore?" asked Daxton

"No, it's just a short break" said Eleanor

My eye then glance at Hugo who was munching on his food while starring at me. He then caught me looking at him as he then quickly turn his attention back to Eleanor.

"Sofia wanna be my roommate?" asked Daxton with an eyebrow raise as Hugo then chocked on his food

"Her brother definitely gonna kill you if he heard you say that" said Hugo who was trying to reduce the chocking "No actually- Amber would be the one taking a knife charging towards you"

"Even worst-" Hugo cleared his throat before continuing "Her father -"

"Dude, she's my roommate. Back off" said Eleanor "Not to mention, can't you wait?"

Daxton eyes then widen as he look at Eleanor "It definitely can wait, even if it takes for years"

I'm just gonna pretend that I never understood that conversation

"Dax, you do know all of us understand that right?" said Hugo "And Sofia is just umm right there"

Daxton then mouthed the word 'fuck' as he slowly turn to me trying to smile like nothing happened

"Sof, it's not what you think it is" said Daxton "It was just a joke, a lame one actually. Don't take it too seriously" he said while making an awkward laughter

"You do know I'm 17 right? And not 12-" I said as I look at him "I know what you mean, but that reason is a lame one"

"I- I" Daxton then stutter

"Nahh it's fine-" I said as I ate my salad

"Damn- awkward -" said Eleanor

"I know right-" said Hugo

"Shut up" said Daxton as he rolled his eyes

I actually don't really care what he thinks, well it's kinda awkward though because we are still 17 and 18. Not even graduated from high school yet and haven't even step foot into university.

But if my future partner respect me for what I think and not pushing me into something that I wouldn't want to do, I guess he's one of the perfect guy out there. That means he care about you, he puts you as he's first priority right?

"I'm gonna go to the library, anyone want to go too?" I asked

"I have track and field practice" said Eleanor "And now I'm wishing my coach wouldn't time us in a 200m run"

"I can't, I have extra mathematics classes" said Hugo

"I'll accompany you" said Daxton "I have a free period"

"Sure" I then gave him a smile as I then turn to Hugo and Eleanor and gave them a wave

Me and Daxton then walk off to the library without talking, and that silence was making the situation very awkward for the both of us. As I went into the library and took a table for the both of us, Daxton then suddenly spoke.

"Sofia, I'm sorry" said Daxton "I know I've make you very uncomfortable back there"

"Daxton, you don't have to be sorry, really. I'm actually quite cool with that" I said as I look at him in the eye

"But still that was very impropriate" said Daxton "Even more impropriate and dumb with all the things I have ever done with you guys"

"Don't worry about it, we're cool" I said with a smile

"Are you really sure about that?" he asked

"How many times do you what me to repeat myself?" I then laugh as Daxton lips then slowly form a smile

We then spend the rest of the school hour in the library reading and talking about some unnecessary stuff  since the both of us have 3 free period until schools out

Ever since I become friends with Daxton, I never think that I would see him more than just a friend. I don't know what he does, but there's something about him that attracts me. Liking him is something I will never understand, he somehow is a magnet and I'm just some random metal object that always been pulled towards him with a strong force.

Since I was that attracted to him, I couldn't care less if other guys are even perfect than him , my eyes are now set on him. It feels like he is the only one for me.

I never know this until now, I've always kinda feel something towards him that I can't never express way before I notice I'm crazy for him. I can't figure out which part of him charmed me, his kindness? Intelligence? Or the way he approach me everytime? I might never know the answer.....
