The train's steam blew around the station. Every child is excited to leave Hogwarts for home. Everyone but not  Sirius.

James clapped his back, "Cmon lighten up Sirius ! You'll be staying with the Potters now. I won't let anyone hirt you."

Nothing seemed to get Sirius to cheer up. Not when his answer was left unanswered. A certain professor disappeared in yesterday's graduation ceremony. It seemed like the earth swallowed him whole.

Sirius tried giving James a chuckle. "It's not my wretched family James. It's something else. I have to deal with this alone."

"Tsk. Deal with it alone." James mocked. "Here, your special Remmy-poo gave me this letter. Told me to give it to you on the train."

Freshly rolled parchment wrapped in a maroon ribbon landed on Sirius' hands. "Go on open it. Maybe it's a love letter." Peter teased.

Sirius pulled on the bow and unfurled its soft surface. Inside was Remus' signature handwriting. More like chicken scratches really.

    [Lovely Sirius,

I have to apologize. I couldn't come to your final ceremony in Hogwarts. Believe me, I'm very, very proud of you.  You've excelled in all your subjects. I'm impressed. Didn't realize a little challenge could go a long way.

Now, I have a mission for you. Mr. Black, you are a renowned prankster. You and Mr. Potter and Mr. Pettigrew have proven yourselves handy at finding secrets. I believe you lot have outsmarted Hogwarts.

I am on this train with you at the moment. If you can find me, I'll reward you with a date and (if you are willing) a holiday together. I was thinking somewhere warm. How about the Bahamas ?

Right so a little history. In 1823, Ottaline Gambol rose as Minster of Magic. She built the very train you're sitting on. She thought it was a break through, a perfect carriage for all students. But not all.

I am a werewolf Sirius. I don't know if this confession will lessen your heart's yearning but I trust you with this personal piece of me. When I boarded this train with my condition, Dumbledore thought it wise to add a special compartment. In case, I had to turn.

Follow the signs of the moon and let it shine to you. One, two, three and you will find me. Start by my birth.

     I love you]

The last sentence gave him flutters. Feeling his cheeks glow warm, he turned to James. "I gotta go on a treasure hunt."

                                ***

Birth. Birth. Remus' birthday ? March 10th. March is the third month.
310 ? 103 ? 3 Multiplied by 10 ?

Sirius' head was spinning. He started at 103. Barging in to an unsuspecting Professor Mcgonagall. Her animagus form curled in her Gryffindor scarf. She almost looked offended.

"I'm sorry professor. I'm.. looking for professor Lupin. Have you seen him ?"

The aging professor gave him a smile with a thousand meanings. "Well, if you follow the clues correctly. You'll be right. Now go along, I want to nap."

In her place was a silver cat with gold spectacles. Sirius thanked her and continued on his little treasure hunt. Next stop was 310.

His fingers tapped absentmindedly on the plaques on each door.

   308, 309, 311

  Wait what..

Where was 310 ? Sirius did a double take between the doors. 309 and 311. He traced the two plaques.

He knelt to the wall as his eyes caught a little engraving. A small crescent moon which magically turned into a full moon then reverting back to its half-circle shape.

"You'll be right." Sirius chuckled. He pressed on the moon on his right and just like Grimmauld Place, another compartment squeezed in.

The Gryffindor slid the glass door open and there he was in all his knit jacket glory. Setting his cup on the table, Remus smiled. "Easy to find me ?"

Sirius huffed. "Mcgonagall almost cat scratched me."

He sat across his professor. "So, is this  what you call a date ?"

Remus looked at him softly. "Mm I call this a prolog."

Sirius did not answer. He was busy looking out the window. Truly the view was breathtaking. Green plains and blue skies. Black birds in migration seemingly ran with the train.

"Hey Remus, can I swap seats ? I can't see the castle from my spot." Sirius quarried.

Remus, magically broke from his day dream, stood up unsteadily and made a quick work of pulling Sirius to his feet, sneaking a cheek kiss and then sitting in his spot.

Sirius excitedly leaned on the window, his eyes following each cloud as they pass by. Remus propped his chin on his palm.

"Look Remus ! It's the old Gryffindor tower !" Sirius pointed to a dumb thing Remus didn't bother looking.

  "Yea, s'mazing." He said, adrift.

"You're not even looking !" Sirius pouted and threw his palms roughly on the sofa.

"Aww baby no I- I did look I did- Oh C'mon Sirius don't give me that look."

Remus gave Sirius an affectionate smile. The boy returned his curved lips with a scrunched nose and bottom lip forward.

With a sigh, Remus sat down next to him. "I promised you a holiday trip." He offered.

    "Mm."

"How about I buy you hot chocolate ? Exactly how you like it." Remus leaned closer and hooked his chin on Sirius' shoulder.

  "Mmm okay."

   Great, two words ! That's a progress.

  "Can I get a kiss ?"

Sirius finally turned and gave the werewolf a little peck. His fingers playing with Remus' curly hair. Slowly, arms started to wrap themselves on Sirius' waist. Remus stared at him with stars in his eyes.

     "I love-"

"Me. Yes, I know." Sirius smiled pride fully.  "You love me you love~"

Remus rolled his eyes. "Yea yea okay."

"Good news for you because I love you too."

The tired professor sighed in content. Closing his eyes, he said, "That's what I want to hear."
