Loud, college parties were never Remus' thing. He hated the overwhelming scents and visions. Sweaty bodies and scratchy dresses against him made his skin crawl.

But he goes anyways because he wants to hang out with the Marauders. Or so he tried convincing himself.

Being the tallest had its perks. He can easily find his friends in the crowd. Its downsides ? Remus is sitting front seat to Sirius' hook up adventure.

By then, he'd already slipped out of the house. Vodka (water) in his cup sloshed as he made it to a secluded area. Heavy heart weighing him.

Suddenly a hand clasped on his shoulder. It was Potter. The athlete slurred his words while badly attempting to hold Peter's body up . "I'm gunna head back. Got a taxi waiting. Sirius inside byeee !" He managed to tell.

Remus sighed. He walked the two to the waiting driver, kindly paid and watched them drive off before heading back in the cramped human space.

Calling out Black's name is useless. The boy's probably too drunk to hear and too loopy to think. A part of Remus tensed, hoping he was in safe hands.

Instead he found Sirius reenacting Romeo and Juliet with a random freshman girl. He had a paper cup on his head and a tissue paper shall. Funny enough, he was playing Juliet.

"Romeo ! You drunk hoe ! Don't die before kissing me !" He laughed.

Remus muttered a profanity. "Alright Juliet let's get you home."

"Oh my ! It's  the Merchant of Venezuela!"

   "Venice."

"What ?! What stupid city has knees ?!"

Sirius hung on Remus' neck as the taller tried half carrying him out. Remus now regretting each time he turned James down on a gym session. Sirius is growing serious muscle weight.

"Here, water. I need you to clear your head a bit." Remus conveniently swung by the kitchen to grab a fresh cold bottle.

They sat on the grey concrete sidewalk. It was almost 3 Am. Street lamps illuminated their flushed faces.

   "Better ?"

"Mm yea, you're definitely not Romeo." Sirius chuckled, still drunk.

The sober, obviously not Sirius, pulled him to his feet and swung his arm over his neck. They limped to the bus stop together.

Unlike James, Remus' phone died a while back. Sirius never brings his phone on night outs. He had a deep philosophy on living in the moment.

"What's bothering thee ?" A small voice came from beside Remus.

Cold night wind made Sirius shiver dramatically under his leather jacket. Remus had an unreadable look on his face.

"You date all these people. Don't you get tired Juliet ?"

The question almost seemed rhetorical but Remus' eyes held far more meaning. Sirius shrugged.

"I'm bad at dating. Never can make them stay. They want me until the sun comes up Romeo. I'm waiting for the one who'd still be here when the moon leaves."

"I'm here aren't I ? Even after the moon hides." Remus whispered. "Why can't you see that Juliet?"

"So you like me Romeo ?" Sirius' eyes twinkled. "Do you ?"

Remus' own eyes finally left the ground and locked itself to Sirius. "Very much."

Remus knows it doesn't matter anyways. Sirius won't remember a thing when he wakes up. At some point, Remus noted that Drunk Sirius was the best secret keeper.

Sirus smiled, puffing his blushy cheeks. "Hehe Juliet likes me." His callused hand found Remus'.

Under the streetlamps, Sirius had a different glow to his face. Remus squeezed his fingers. "The bus is here, we have to go."

The drunken jumped on board and quickly found refuge on the farthest end of the bus. Pulling poor Remus to sit by the window.

Remus stared out to the darkness, feeling Sirius' warmth on his shoulder. The prick's probably drooling on his new jacket but he didn't mind. Sirius wrapped around his arm for one night was all he needed.

The roar of the engine becomes background noise. Remus felt his eye water. Is this his story ? Being able to proclaim his love only for him to forget ? Being able to feel his presence only for him to not be affected the same way ?

How cruel. How vile. He looked down at Sirius' sleeping face. "I love you Sirius." Whispered to the night.

The bus wheeled through sleepy london before stopping. It's another 3 blocks to the Marauders' dorm.  Sirius clung to Remus as the walked. His head lightening slightly from the fog of alcohol. "Are we close ?"

   "Yea, a bit more Juliet."

Sirius blushed deeper and let himself indulge. "I heard what you said in the bus Romeo."

Remus stiffened for a second but relaxed remembering that Sirius was still drunk. "Oh yea ? What are you going to do about it Juliet ? Send me to Venezuela ?"

The shorter tugged to a halt. Remus worry he might get tired or worse, nauseous. "Sirius? You alright ?"

  "I want to kiss you."

The closed shops and empty streets felt stuffy all of a sudden. "What ?"

"I want to kiss you." Sirius smiled.

"Cmon Juliet you're drunk." Remus rolled his eyes, silently wishing he wasn't.

"No, stop." Sirius held both of his hands. "Juliet was 14 when she was sure about Romeo. I'm.."

   "21."

"Right ! 21 and I'm sure about you. I want to kiss you and I know you want that too."

That pulled a heart string. Remus held Sirius closer. Practically a head away from each other, Remus tucked a piece of hair behind Sirius' ear.

"I don't want to do it when you won't even remember.  God, I want to kiss you Sirius and go on dates and stupid dinners." Slowly letting go, Remus offered a thin smile. "But I can't. You don't even feel the same way nor would you even think about me that way."

"I do feel that way !" Sirius lunged forward, holding Remus' hand. "I-I really do ! Let me show you."

Before Sirius got the chance to press a kiss. Remus unwrapped his arms around the shivering boy. "Show me tomorrow. You don't have to worry, I'll be there when the sun rises."
