74. mornings

sirius woke up. his hair covering half of his face and the cold air hitting him awake. his eyes squinted at the sun that shown through the window.

it was quiet and tranquil. the white sheets that covered his body felt softer in the morning. he followed the sheets to a sleeping man beside him.

remus was lying on his stomach, his arms outstretched still latched on sirius' waist. his brown curls were messy and pressed on the pillow. his back rising and falling as he breathed.

sirius twisted his body to get a better look at remus. his fingers combed remus' hair to the side. grey eyes taking in the sight of the sleeping figure.

his thumb caressed remus' cheekbone. "love..." he whispered. this is love. the feeling of awe at such a simple turn of events.

sirius bent down and kissed remus' temple. his lips lingered abit longer. then he moved remus' arms aside making him able to move freely.

he stepped quietly on the wooden floor and walked out of the room. he hated leaving the other, but someone has to make breakfast.

turning on the fire, he cooked toast with extra cheese. the scent of butter and cheese filled the house and soon reached remus.

he woke up groggily and found sirius flipping the bread. the light from the kitchen window made a halo around sirius. he looked so charming under the soft glow.

remus leaned on the door frame and watched his lover softly with hooded eyes.

"morning love, want some toast?" sirius glanced at remus briefly, flashing him that beautiful smile. remus felt his heart warm as he fluttered to cloud 9.

"of course i do" he said as he hugged sirius from behind. his breath fanning sirius' neck. he brought his lips to press a kiss on it. making sirius flinch a bit because he was ticklish.

remus' hands took the spatula and the pan from sirius' hands. " let me" remus whispered and sirius let him. he rested his head on remus' chest and heard his heart beat.

"should i wake the kids?" sirius asked  not really into the idea of moving away from remus. "they'll wake up by themselves.. dont worry" remus replied.

sirius looked to remus' chin and saw stubble starting to grow. his finger dragged under his jawline. "you better shave, Mcgee is not gonna like it" sirius said.

remus nodded as he turned off the fire. "but i know you like it." remus smirked cheekily at the other. sirius moved away and served the toast on the table. "you know me so well" he replied.

remus' hand reached for sirius' head. with a firm hand pressed on the other side, he returned the kiss to sirius' temple. "im going to get ready" remus said against sirius' hair then he left to the shower.

sirius smiled at remus' retreating shoulders. shaking his head in disbelief of how lucky he was. to spend his life with such a blessed man.

soon the children woke up. with their sleepy eyes and yawning. "good morning loves." he said kissing each of their foreheads. they hugged sirius back before sitting down and eating the food.

remus came out with his teacher suit on. "you look stunning" sirius complimented as he handed remus his coffee.

the little family had breakfast. the sounds of the children talking were so innocent. "-and i dreamt of us at the beach dad !" one exclaimed.

remus glanced at sirius. sirius nodded and remus replied "just right then because we are going to the beach this weekend"

the children squealed as they jumped of their seats. putting their dishes in the sink and going ahead to wear their shoes.

remus helped sirius clean up then catching up to kids. "dont over work yourself okay" sirius said as he fixed remus' tie.

"mhmm, want to have a lunch date today?" remus said as he put his coat on and grabbed the car keys. "Yes ! now be careful" sirius replied waving him goodbye.

"be good at school okay?" sirius squatted to kiss his children's forehead. they nodded and jumped in the car.

remus slyly commented "you forgot something" sirius rolled his eyes "no i didnt"

he pulled remus softly by his tie and kissed him. both of them melting into the kiss but sirius' shove made remus wake up from dream land.

"go ! you'll be late"
