They've broken up for weeks now. Sirius can't even remember what made them part ways. All of a sudden, he couldn't look him in the eye and Remus' books are in boxes.

He's gone.

When Sirius sits alone on their dinner table for 2, he thinks back. The arguments, the yelling and the crying.

He thought Remus didn't love him anymore. The other worked longer hours and was unresponsive. It made him think of the worst.

I guess, Sirius wasn't helping either. With Remus barely home, Sirius thought it'd make him taste his own medicine if he rarely comes home.

Accusations were made and they locked their doors, one to the bedroom one to the guest bedroom.

Sirius sighed. He laid back in his seat. The office is half empty by now although it was only half an hour after dismissal.

His phone lit up and maybe he hoped it was someone that wasn't James Potter.

"Hey sup Prongs ?"

The Potter's breathing came ragged, like he was chasing the bus. "Have you heard ?"

"Heard what ? Something wrong ? Lily's  ok?"

"No, not my Lily. Remus. He's leaving."

Sirius straightened. "What ? Where ?"

"He's moving half way across the world  and he told me last minute. Smart Moony knew I'd tell you."

Sirius glanced at the clock and his open laptop. "When is he going ?"

"Uh... 40 minutes."

"FUCKING HELL JAMES."

The other laughed, breathing still labored. "Why'd you think I'm running for idiot ?!"

After thanking his best man, Sirius dumped all his belongings in the old messenger bag (Remus bought him).

He's lucky he goes on daily runs, at  least he made it down the lobby in record time.

"In a rush Black ?"

It was the security guard, a friendly man in his sixties.

"Yeah Earl gotta find a taxi. Need to go the airport."

He had a knowing smile. "Him ?"

"Him." Sirius nodded, frantically checking his watch.

"Alright then, let's go."

Sirius didn't have time to ask and just ran with the white haired man. Apparently, Earl had a bike. A big bike.

"Oh Earl, that...is my paycheck in physical form."

The man laughed, "Hop on I'll get you as close as I can before I'm called back."

Honestly, today's had so much surprises. The boy he loves is leaving, most likely not coming back, the old security guy has a Royal Enfield bike and he drives like an F1 driver.

Sirius felt his skin leave his skull with the way Earl was weaving through the trucks. And he thought he was a hardcore motorbike punk.

Earl could only drop him to an airport taxi hub, that means a few minutes before airport.

Sirius thanked him profusely. Earl waved him off. "Send him my hello, got it kid ? You better get him back."

"Yes sir." He saluted. Then climbed in the nearest waiting cab.

The driver gave him a sleazy greeting.

"Airport right now please hurry."

Maybe his tone was grave enough, the driver actually woke up and raced.
