"I just don't get it though (y/n), how could you ever POSSIBLY like the hounds? Dogs are such stupid and smelly, disgusting creatures" said Burns . You loved dogs, but it was obvious to you that he didn't, and his only use for them was for scaring people away.
"They're really not though. They're so happy and friendly and cute. Hence why they're called man's best friend" you say with a smile as you petted a very contented looking nipper (that's the name of one of the hounds).
"Well if you like man's best friend so much, I think I'm going to go with a girl's best friend - diamonds!" Said Mr Burns with an evil smirk.
"Oh come on Monty, just pet him! He won't bite!" " You do realise that's what they're trained to do? " "pet him...now" Burns finally gave in, and rolled his eyes before putting his hand out to pet the dog.
"Nice doggy, nice doggy" said Burns, but the dog started growling at him. "Aaah! I told you!" " No Shadow! No, no growling...good boy! "You said as you corrected the dog, as he just started whimpering like a little dog would. "See? They're just harmless babies at heart!" You say with a smile as you beckon him to come closer.
" Well, I suppose so, here doggy " said Burns as he successfully managed to pet the dog this time. "Hey! That felt...quite good!" He said. " see what I told you? " "yes. Excellent" he said as he tented his fingers before sitting down with you and the hounds and petting them as you both laughed.
