Requested by @miko-iko, thanks for requesting! Hope you like it.

You were at the disco tonight with your friend, Stu, and you were regretting your decision to come here with him. Whilst he talked like he was okay, you could see that he was taking his recent breakup with Selma harshly. Okay, so it wasn't exactly recent, quite a while ago actually, but he was convinced she was the woman for him. He didn't want to stress you out and so he just wouldn't talk about it, but you knew that she was definitely still on his mind.

"Come on, Stu" You said for the millionth time that evening, sweating and out of breathe from all the dancing.

"Come on what? Come on, (y/n), we're at the disco, earth wind and fire are blasting in the background, how can you dance and stay uptight?

"Because i know that there's definitely something wrong with you. Come on, i'm your friend i wanna help you"

"What makes you say that?"

"The fact that you won't even look at me, you can't just dance through all your problems"

"Sure you can" He grinned and started hustling.

"No, you have to talk them through, you can't just numb your problems with loud music, come on, tell me"

"(y/n)" He shook his curly head and sat himself down at the bar. "What could possibly be bothering me tonight?"

"Selma"

His eyes widened in horror when you mentioned her name and he sank in his seat. "Make that a double" He instructed the bar man. "(y/n), why would that still be bothering me? I'm telling you, my love for her is as dead as the fish in my shoes!" He said and put his feet up to show you. You cringed and pushed his leg down away from your face.

"Stu" You sighed.

"DISCO Stu" He corrected.

"DISCO Stu" You rolled your eyes. "You wouldn't have a shrine to her in your home if you were really over her, I'm your friend, let me help you" You smiled as you sat next to him and placed your hand on his shoulder.

"Disco Stu doesn't know what to do. She was such a groovy chick, how could she not like disco?" He wailed and you were regretting ever talking to him now.

"She just wasn't right for you, you'll find someone else, anyone would be lucky to have you"

He looked at you and smiled a weak smile. "Thanks, that really means a lot, (y/n), you're a great friend"

"I know i am" You laughed. His drink arrived and you both talked over it before getting up again and dancing the night away together. You talked together and he eventually thought no more about his ex as he came to realise that you were better company.

It was real dark outside as you both left.

"(y/n)" He took your hand in his as you were about to leave. "I just want to say thank you for tonight, you're the only one who really cares"

Your face flushed a warm red as he approached you. "I'm your friend, i'm supposed to care"

He looked like he was about to say more, but he didn't. He slowly got closer and then kissed you. He then shook his head and looked like he was coming back to his senses. " I'm sorry for that, i really am, i apologise if you didn't like it"

"No, it's fine" You reassured him and touched his face. You both kissed each other, a proper kiss, before pulling away and then slipping your hand in his.

"Shall we?" He offered.

"Let's shall" You giggled as you both went home, hoping to start something beautiful and new with him.
