"Alright then, lady, get out, you've been granted parole for good behaviour" The blue-haired police chief Wiggum said lazily as he turned the key in the cell, unlocking it in the process.
"You're lucky you got out this quickly, stalking and attempted murder is a SERIOUS offence" Officer Lou scratched his head at the thought of it as the two cops escorted the woman out of her cell.
"Yup, that's one of the biggies, you're lucky you didn't end up in the loonie bin" The overweight officer said with a chuckle.
She rolled her eyes at this and said nothing except a quiet and polite thank you before she left the jail a free woman. Julia had been put there a long time ago by Marge Simpson, a woman that she now despised and felt nothing but bitterness towards but she couldn't see that she had brought all this punishment upon herself. She had thought of Homer all the time she was there and how she would meticulously plan for them to one day be together. She didn't want to go back to jail but she desperately wanted to watch and be with him again.
Julia's pov: Well, back to my old life again, i must say, the old place hasn't changed much. Who am i kidding? When had Springfield EVER changed anything? Uuugh, never mind.
I tried settling back down into my old home. I got in through the door, placed my groceries on the kitchen table, threw a dart at a poster of Marge and then went to bed to plot my revenge.
The next day i woke up, i still had nothing in terms of ideas so i just decided to try and get used to my old life again, you know, settle down and stuff, so i took out my motorbike and went for a ride through town. I didn't know where i was going, i just wanted to clear my head. I could see houses as i drove past. Shops, the church, the bar and after a while i saw a little place i hadn't seen before. It was a little coffee shop. It was new and looked kinda nice so i thought, why not?
I parked my bike, found a table of my own and sat down.
"Can i take your order?" A waiter asked politely.
"Just uh, just get me a black coffee" I wasn't exactly hungry for anything so that would do.
I heaved a loud sigh and stared out the window at everything. I looked out at people, children playing, cars passing by and then something caught my eye. Could it be? But i'm sure it was! It was gorgeous fatso with beautiful voice! The reason i got locked up for so long! I clenched my fists in anger at the thought but i exhaled and let it all go. It was no use, none of it was so i just switched my phone on. I decided to play some music. I was gonna slip in my airpods but the place is noisy and crowded form the sounds of people and lovers, stupid lovers, i hate love, chattering away and the hateful pop music playing on the radio. I shuddered at the thought and decided to play some REAL music as i switched my playlist of opera on and listened contentedly to the sweet, soul soothing sounds.
"That opera you're listening to there? " i heard a voice say and looked up to see someone leaning above my table. He was about my age and was no Homer Simpson but there was something oddly attractive about his smile.
"Well, yes. I'm a big fan" I answered politely.
"It's a shame more people don't listen to this type of music" He shook his head and I listened in approval.
"It is a real shame. And the stories are so good"
"Tell me about it!" He agreed with what I was saying before he sat down at a chair opposite me. I tried smiling charmingly at him but it turned out menacing, though he didn't seem to notice. We talked about opera's, opera houses, singers and stories of the opera, it was nice to finally meet someone else with culture. You introduced yourself as (y/n) (l/n) and she introduced herself as Julia. You both got to know each other but she was careful to avoid spilling the brand about her criminal past.
You got up and ordered coffee for yourself and a box of doughnuts to share whilst you talked and got to know each other. She flinched and looked like she was experiencing some sort of ptsd when you took out the doughnuts.
"Something wrong? Don't like doughnuts?" You raised an eyebrow.
"No, it's not that, it's just that they remind of when I used to know a famous singer, Homer Simpson"
" isn't he the guy that could sing an entire score on his back? Man! What a voice! "
"Yes, indeed what a voice" She said gravely as she thought back at how she had tried to close the final curtain on him a few years ago but quickly recomposed herself and forgot about it. She recalled tales to you about when she used to know him and was even President of his fan club, but was sure to leave out the part about her insane stalking.
After that lovely hour long chat, she offered you a lift home on her motorbike which you gladly accepted. You both really got to know each other real well after that and started going out to places together and you two became real close. You liked how smart, carefree and organised she was and she loved that she had someone cultured who actually paid attention to her.
After a date together at the opera house one night, you both went home on her motorbike as you both loved the smell of night air and the wind in your hair. She dropped you off at your house but there was something you wanted to ask her before she left.
"Wow, this has been an incredible night" She said dreamily as you both stood there at your door.
"Yeah, hopefully there can be more nights like this" You smiled at her but she looked confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Julia...would you like to be my girlfriend?" You asked with a twinkle in your eye that she couldn't refuse.
"I thought you would never ask" She grinned.
It was a beautiful night that night where the stars just seemed brighter than usual. You both held each other there and kissed passionately before you went inside to get ready for bed. She never left though as she watched you, but you didn't need to know about that.
