Lisa Simpson #3

You were nervous as you stepped in through the school doors. Nervous as you were being enrolled in this new school in a new country. Thankfully you didn't have to learn the language.

You made it to the the classroom as you were in the second grade and your new teacher made a point of introducing you to the other kids.

"Alright, class, this is (y/n) (l/n)" The brown-haired woman said, trying to sound enthusiastic though it was obvious that she couldn't care less. "She's our new exchange student from Australia. (y/n), go find a seat"

You looked around the classroom nervously before you spotted a seat in between two girls. One who was wearing a pink dress, and the other, you thought, had the strangest spiky hair you had ever seen. You sat down and worked quietly through your class but you were secretly worried about what you would do at lunchtime. Would you make friends? Would the others like you? Only time would tell.

Lunchtime soon came and you all left the classroom for the playground to eat. You didn't know anyone so you found a quiet spot and sat there to eat. You were busy finishing your food when you were approached by someone. it was the two girls you had sat beside in class. You gave them a friendly smile before returning to your meal. They both sat down beside you and you got a little nervous.

"Hi, i'm Lisa!" One of the girls smiled and put out her hand for you to shake. 

"Hey, Lisa, i'm (y/n)" You smiled warmly and giggled nervously.

"I'm Janey" The other girl gazed cutely. "So you're from Australia? Wow!" She marvelled.

"Yeah, i'm staying with relatives" You explained as they introduced themselves.

"So you're not staying here? Shame, you would've loved this place" Lisa sighed. "Wait, no, you wouldn't actually" She said as she realised just where she was talking about.

You chuckled at this and you all got to talking. Lisa was super smart and a little nerdy. Janey was nowhere near as smart but was super fun and they both really made you feel so welcome here. You had a feeling you were going to like it here.

The bell rang unfortunately, meaning it was time to go back to class and that your conversation was cut short.

"Aw, nuts" Lisa shook her head. "Looks like this talk will have to wait a while"

"Oh well" You sighed in disappointment.

"But you could come over to my place after school. Whaddya say?" The girl in red smiled sweetly in hope of making a friend for she was as lonely as you were sometimes.

"Sure" You grinned.

"Alright!" Janey giggled. "See ya there!" You waved to each other as you all burst through the school doors. You clutched your hands to your chest and smiled happily and felt extremely happy that you had made some new friends and on your first day too!
