It was a dark and rainy night. You really should've been home hours ago, but you couldn't help the events of that went on earlier. You had been robbed by some criminals who took everything but the clothes on your back. They had robbed you blind and all you wanted was to get back home. You had a jump scare when you saw lightning flash across the sky and you knew it was no use trying to finish your journey. You were going to have to find shelter somewhere for the night and go home tomorrow. Any place would do, you just needed to get out of this storm before something worse happened to you.

You saw an old, abandoned castle in the not far off distance and you ran to it. Why there was even such a thing here in America, you had no idea, but you were too desperate to question it. You knocked on the door, praying that someone would answer. Your patience was rewarded, as after a minute or two, you heard footsteps as someone answered and opened the door to you.

"Yes?" A voice said. You looked to see a rather strange looking old man. He gave off some vampire vibes, but you shrugged this silly idea off. Vampires are just a myth, and even though he looked old enough to actually be one, you had always heard that they weren't supposed to age, were they?

"Um, i got lost on my way home, and robbed along the way and..." You stopped as you saw that he just kept staring, as if he was studying you,  intimidating you a little. He blinked twice and then gave his answer.

"Yes, i see, and you came here seeking residency for the night?" He asked and raised an eyebrow.

"Well yes, sir, in the hope of it anyway" You chuckled in the hope that he had half a heart.

"Of course, come on in then" He welcomed you in and spared no time in letting yourself in out of the cold.

"Smithers! Get the table set! We have a visitor" He called and and another strange looking, but younger man obeyed and got everything in order for you.

"This is my servant, Smithers. We don't get many visitors in this old place" He chuckled and smiled politely, but it turned out evil. There was an aura of evil about this man, something disturbing you couldn't put your finger on, but could you really judge when you were in a position like this and he was providing you with shelter?

"Dinners served, Sir" The man named Smithers informed you.

"Excellent" The old man said in a soft voice and tented his fingers as you both sat down and ate. He served you a meal of steak, rare steak, so rare that you could taste the blood when you took a bite, and a drink of...red wine? You smelled it before you drank it,.and decided to pass on it as you smelled it.

"Not thirsty, my dear?" He asked you in a kindly voice, though it sounded rather affected.

"No, not really, and uh, what is this exactly?" You asked.

"It's..." But he put the glass to his own lips and drank it down as if to avoid the question.

"What?" You asked again in hope of knowing.

"I set up a bed for you, Miss" Smithers said in an eerie voice and then you remembered that you didn't introduce yourself.

"Thank you! Oh, I'm (y/n)" You laughed awkwardly and introduced yourself.

"(y/n), eh?" The old man said. "I'll remember that name. Now, do rest, you'll need it" He grinned wickedly and sent you off to your bed. You were a little suspicious of this all, but why complain? This man was.. peculiar, but he was kind to you and so polite. You smiled at him, gave him a quiet word of thanks and got into your bed.

You passed his help off as kindness, but you had no idea of just what he had planned for you. He got lonely in this old place all by himself, you see, and your suspicions were right, he WAS a vampire and he needed someone to rule by his side, and you looked just right...
